UCF is better than BYU at this point, Cal and GT are a wash, and Cincinnati is about a million times better than Eastern Washington.

We play better as a unranked team. To many of our fans start getting a big head saying how we are great and awesome, the best in the conference. I am die hard state fan and grad but lets not get to big for our britches. That's what happened in 2002. I say Go Pack!!! win each game and don't worry about the poll's. If we keep winning we will keep getting a higher rank.

i am pretty upset that we are ranked now.

everyone knows that being in the top 25 is a huge curse for NC State athletics. I am going to the game but i also understand there is no chance in hell of us coming out with a W thanks to these shit ass pollsters voting us into the top 25 when we have only played one good team. GT (cincy had injuries)

^^ jesus I hope you're trolling. Either way, this voodoo/jinx/curse stuff in general on here has to go. A true good team wins no matter what they are ranked or what people are saying about them. If we have a trend of losing games after we get ranked that is causing you to think we have some "curse" it probaly means we didn't deserved to be ranked at those times anyway.

To be elite you need to play your best ALL the time no matter who you are playing or what you or your opponent is ranked. Hoping to not be ranked so as to be the underdog and give yourself and excuse/less pressure is some amateur crap and I sure as hell hate that mentality and hate always seeing that on these message boards.

The top programs in the country play like they are the top programs in the country week in and week out and want to be recognized. Mediocre teams fly under the radar and beat elite teams here and there. Which would you rather be? Maybe I just have a different mentality when it comes to sports...
