The overhang is totally packed, the line wraps around the front of Talley and they aren't letting people back in the line now. When that ticketing window opens shit is gonna get ridiculous.

if something doesn't happen to change the current situation its going to get really bad really fast. How can we prevent this from happening. So far I've called the ticket office (no answer) emailed the technician, and emailed campus safety. Who else has some pull to fix this?

They aren't letting anyone out, switch out or pass in IDs (we can always just hid the IDs in food, haha). People have been running shifts all day and now some of the people in line have shit to do.

I agree, if you want a ticket get in line for it. The taking shifts and holding onto 15 ID's for other people shit is weak. It just fucks the people who actually do stand out there and wait.

So here's a situation. 4 students need tickets, those 4 students have tests throughout the day today. None of the tests line up at the same time. One student gets in line at 8 am. As each students test time arrives, they switch out, so that all four student will have waited in line by themselves for a set time period. All four students receive tickets.

That's what A LOT of people are doing. I personally think that that is fine. No one was skipped or cut in line, and the same number of tickets went out. I don't understand why the cops aren't letting it happen. Whats wrong with one in one out?

I just don't like the idea of 1000 pissed off college students in the rain (or under an overhang).

I mean i understand, you have test AND you need tickets...its called choices and you have one to make. either you make the grade or you get a ticket.

Unfortunately, no one in that line was around in 2003. So they don't understand these rules of which you speak. I'm pretty sure the reason that you can get four tickets with one person was so that we could run shifts. I agree the rules should have been laid out but they weren't.

I just don't see any harm with one in one out.

^^^ I essentially agree with that, but if a single person can get 4 tickets, why does it matter if that one set of IDs is held by one person the whole time or several people for some length of time each? The same number of tickets will be given out regardless. Then it just becomes a matter of coordination.

I think a lot of the problem is that this is parents and family weekend too and the fact that a lot of people probably got 2 guests tickets in the first lottery. What a mess.

Got my tickets.

That was organized absolutely terribly. The ticket windows at Reynolds have 2 lanes, the people in the right lane at window 1 had been there since early this morning. Some people showed up later, got in the left side even though SG said they would only be giving out tickets on the right side of the window. The windows went up and they started handing out tickets through both windows. Whoever did this distribution completely failed. The line was back down to Cates when I was leaving.

I believe they're only "considering" adding the temp bleachers to the concourse. I'm sure there were a lot of unhappy people that ended up standing in the rain for hours and didn't get tickets so they may end up adding them. They'll probably just assign those seats with the standby line.

Are these just the same temporary bleacher that they used to have pre-NEZ expansion? I would think that they could just have those temporary bleachers be the last students in through the gates. Stamp the ticket and hand TEMP SE or TEMP SW. I wonder if we could put up some permanent style bleachers similar to the NEZ ones on the SEZ concourse.

Yeah if you were in the line when a hundred or so DZ girls and their fratastic boyfriends showed up 5 minutes before distribution and all jumped to the front of the line because one person was saving all of their spots in line you would understand why people get pissed off over seeing anything that looks shady. I thought there was gonna be a riot out there that day needless to say I went from my spot looking likely to get a ticket to no shot in hell.

The tickets given out yesterday were actual stadium seats. With section and seat number. It states pretty explicitly that they aren't the temporary bleacher seats on the SGA website
