It won't spoil the ending of Inception, if that's what you're asking.

Will it make Inception seem sillier? Maybe a little, but it's such a great movie this won't hurt it.

Will this episode be funnier after you've seen Inception? Definitely.

Would this episode be funny without having seen it? Probably. I guess if you've seen the trailer for Inception that's probably enough for you to at least know what they're joking about.

They didn't really offer any fresh criticisms of Inception. It was the same stuff that people were saying when it came out.

I didn't see Inception so I didn't really get the majority of the humor.

Damn, they apologized for ripping off CollegeHumor:

Quote :
"Upon the episode's release, Dan Gurewitch from the humor website CollegeHumor, noted several similarities between Insheeption and his own Inception parody video, “Inception Characters Don’t Understand Inception”, which he had made with David Young and first posted to the CollegeHumor website on the 2nd of August. He discovered that many lines from the South Park episode seemed to be lifted almost verbatim from their sketch. Matt Stone later issued an apology, admitting when they had intended to parody complexity of Inception, they did not have a copy of the film to reference, instead turning to the internet for information on the film. Stone explained:

"We thought their joke was that a lot of those lines were actually in the movie, and they were banging them against each other, and showing that the Inception characters didn’t even know Inception. That was a mistake, and it was an honest mistake… It's just because we do the show in six days, and we're stupid and we just threw it together. But in the end, there are some lines that we had to call and apologize for."

Gurewitch has since said that their apology was accepted, and that he and Young plan to “meet up with Matt and Trey when they’re in New York.""

Eh, I can understand the South Park team's mistake. They're rushing to write out the script and start animation, they can't get an Inception dvd and imdb doesn't have enough quotes, so they find an internet video with what they think is actual dialogue. Trey Parker doesn't have time to search for torrents.

I highly doubt they were trying to rip off CollegeHumor, they would have known someone would catch them. They didn't think anyone would notice/care if they used what they thought was actual dialogue.

And it's not like CollegeHumor has the only "Inception is confusing" video on the internet. South Park did enough in that episode to make it their own.

Coming this week:
Coon 2: Hindsight

Looks like Cartman has his own Justice League (with Mysterion!), "The Coon and Friends", and they're going to take on the BP oil spill.

seems like an honest mistake. they apologized for it and moved on. they'll probably parody it somewhere down the line or at least make a collegehumor reference in one of the next few episodes.

Yeah, and I doubt they would let Cartman beat up on Mosquito if it was Kyle.

I don't really remember anyone having Kyle's voice though.
And I don't think Kenny could afford a Mysterion costume.

Regardless, Mysterion doesn't really have a definite identity, Matt and Trey haven't even picked one. We just know who isn't Mysterion.

From Wikipedia:
Quote :
"Parker and Stone have said there is no actual answer to Mysterion's identity, as they never chose a specific character to be him.

In the original ending of the episode, after Mysterion is arrested, Kyle is shown to be in prison and it is believed he is the superhero. However, the real Mysterion visits him, and Kyle explains he pretended to be Mysterion so the real superhero could remain free and continue fighting crime. As a thank you, Mysterion revealed his identity by showing his face, but like in the actual episode, the viewer cannot determine who he is because all the children look alike without hats. The ending was ultimately cut because Parker and Stone decided it took too much time for a simple throwaway gag and to show that Kyle was not Mysterion.

The clip is available as a deleted scene in the thirteenth season DVD and Blu-ray sets"

why did they have to go and say that it was kenny before they killed him, it would have been way funnier for the guy to shoot him and then the guys go OH MY GOD, THEY KILLED KENNY... or do it like that at the end of the episode

Mysterion - Clyde or Kenny
Human Kite - Clyde, Kenny, or Kyle
Mosquito - Clyde, Kenny, or Kyle

Human Kite said "You bastards!" at the end, right?

I like the fact that Kenny is frustrated with this "powers" (and nobody noticing his death is hilarious). It's nice to give him some more characterization.

South Park has really stepped up with the multi-part episodes in the last few years:

Season 1:
- "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slut"
Season 2:
- "Cartman's Mom Is Still a Dirty Slut"
Season 3: 3 Parallel Episodes
- "Cat Orgy"
- "Two Guys Naked In a Hot Tub"
- "Jewbilee"
Season 4:
- "Do the Handicapped Go to Hell?"
- "Probably"
Season 5: None
Season 6:
- Averted - "Professor Chaos"
Season 7: None
Season 8: None
Season 9: None
Season 10:
- "Cartoon Wars Part I"
- "Cartoon Wars Part II"
- "Go God Go"
- "Go God Go XII"
Season 11:
- "Imagination Land Episode I"
- "Imagination Land Episode II"
- "Imagination Land Episode III"
Season 12:
- "Pandemic"
- "Pandemic 2: The Startling"
Season 13: None
Season 14:
- "200"
- "201"
- "Coon 2: Hindsight"
- "Mysterion Rises"
- (Coon and Friends Part 3)

Isn't Kenny partially wrong about nobody remembering him dying? There were quite a few episodes where Stan and Kyle were very nonchalant about him dying because it was such a common occurrence. And in the episode where Cartman gets a themepark, near the end he's screaming about how he shouldn't have to pay compensation to Kenny's parents because "Kenny dies all the time."
