The FSU game is easily the biggest game we've had in what, 6+ years? FSU is the team to beat in the ACC and a loss to them essentially puts us three games back in the division (b/c of the tiebreaker).

Being from Greenville, and currently have 2 siblings who attend ECU, yeah pretty much all of Greenville will be trying to squeeze in Dowdy Ficklen on Saturday.


And yes ECU students care about this game ALOT more then the conference USA championship...dont know why-but yeah we cant afford to overlook anyone!

i'd have to agree that this is ecu fan's game of the year. ask a random ecu alum, not a diehard football fan but just a random girl that went to ecu - 9/10 they'd know that ecu and ncsu play this year and the game is at ecu. ask that same person to name the ecu coach or name two other conference usa teams and they probably wouldn't be able to do it.

Should be an easy win...ECU is bad. However, this is a classic trap game with FSU on the horizon and ECU being jacked up to play us...As long as we don't look ahead to FSU, which I don't think will be a problem, we should cruise.

My sister is getting married at 2pm. Why do people schedule weddings during football season??? And we have to be at the church for pictures at 11am. So, I will essentially see none of it. AND my bridesmaid dress would almost pass as a deeper shade of ECU purple.

However, my cousin is an ECU student, and decided to skip the wedding for the game. Her Mom, my Aunt (huge ECU fan) got really upset at her for skipping out on the wedding, and wished upon her "I hope NC State kicks ECU's ass, and they are beat so bad that you're sick from it, and you leave the stadium crying, and it's on the TV that you're crying and sick from losing so badly at home." /random story.

I am unable to watch the game due to a wedding as well , but luckily this is the least interesting game on our schedule. UCF was more intriguing because it was early in the year and i didn't really know what kind of team we had. (same reasoning with wcu).

ECU is one of our biggest rivals stop saying you wish we didnt play them that makes us sound scared and pathetic. What would you rather play Central Florida or Uconn or some other boring school? How about a school we can't beat like an SEC school. Just quit it makes us sound like girls.

One thing to remember is most NCSU players probably never looked at (or even heard of ECU), whereas 90% of ECU's players were overlooked by NCSU and now have a chip on their shoulder.

This should be another classic game between us, I like State 45-34 in a tough game that Russell puts up some monster numbers in.

I got my degree at NCSU and the only reason I know that ECU is a rival of ours is that my wife told me after I had graduated. I'm not trying to cheapen the rivalry, but no one ever mentions ECU as a rival on campus. So, take that as you will.
