I'm not saying you should, its just that this is the only annual game we have that has a specific name to it, might as well use it. 10/31/2010 11:41:18 PM |

ellington being out is great, but that line can still run block. We gotta find some way to stop the run and get parker to throw picks to us 11/1/2010 12:03:26 AM |

the guy hasnt looked good this year, but he had fits of decent play last year and he has an arm and the physical talent to play well if you give him time. if we lay back in the 2009 archer scheme I can see it being a disaster. just throw everyone in his face and let him have his one lucky 80 yard pass to go with 2 INTs a ton of rushed, inaccurate passes 11/1/2010 12:26:31 AM |

We need to get over this loser mentality of being ranked. Go down to Clemson, stomp their ass into the ground, then on to the next one. 11/1/2010 8:22:52 AM |

The funny thing is I went to the ACC's website yesterday morning to see if game times had been posted and UNC-FSU was either going to be 3:30 ABC or 8:00 on ABC. So since FSU lost and UNC struggled they moved it to the regional 3:30 game.
BC is not very good and they were able to handle Clemson. We just need to go down there and handle our business and move on to the next game.11/1/2010 8:45:55 AM |

Clemson has what, 6 wins in a row against us? I said the same thing about the BC game. If we are going to beat them, this is the year to do it.

If we cannot beat Clemson in Death Valley this year, I am not sure we'll ever win again in that damn place. That being said I will be there which means we will shut the bed.
Clemson: 24 State: 21
Honestly I am picking against State because every time I pick them, they lose, every time I pick against them, they win. With Ellington out, we should win this game, but this is starting to sound like the ECU game where people are over confident. It is still an ACC road game. 11/1/2010 9:05:47 AM |

ECU game was different, you could tell from the first kickoff they went there and overlooked those guys a bit and after the first qtr it was too late. ECU also wasn't a conference game.
Lots of factors that SHOULD prevent anyone from looking past clemson.11/1/2010 9:22:11 AM |

Losing Ellington will hurt, but Jamie Harper was a 5-star All-American RB. As long as the line blocks well, they may not take much of a setback.
Quote : | "The injury to Ellington will allow Roderick McDowell to see more touches. The redshirt freshman has 17 carries for 90 yards and a touchdown this season. " |
Some other notes from CUTigers: The Clemson offense hasn't scored a touchdown in 8 straight quarters.
Clemson had the ball inside the Boston College 20 three times and failed to score a touchdown . Entering the game, Clemson had 24 red-zone possession and had scored touchdowns 19 times, 78 percent.11/1/2010 10:12:23 AM |

bad thing: wilson is due for another 3 interception day. plz 2 not happen. pl0z.
good thing: clemson is not some pass heavy team that can brutalize our secondary like ecu did to us 1st quarter.11/1/2010 10:22:06 AM |

Clemson's a great place to catch a game. Great atmosphere, and their fans generally match up well with ours. Death Valley is still THE stadium in the ACC as far as I'm concerned, but CF is catching up nicely. 11/1/2010 11:40:52 AM |

One of the best ACC gameday atmospheres, but don't know that Saturday will be representative of that. After losing to UNC and BC, and playing flat in the GT win, their bandwagon has thinned out little bit. Add in a noon kickoff and one of my Clemson friends said our fans might be more up for it than they are. 11/1/2010 11:55:26 AM |

marginally better blocking isn't worth giving up an extra possession every other game due to Haynes' fumbling problems11/1/2010 11:57:34 AM |

with all due respect, didn't haynes have a mild concussion on his fumble? hard to hold on to the ball when your bell is rung that bad. but yeh, he's had a couple drops here at the start of his career. hopefully he's gonna put a lid on that mess. 11/1/2010 12:01:43 PM |

I went there the night before the game last year and went to the Tiger's Den. Everyone was very friendly except maybe one drunk guy. There was a good mix of state fans and clemson fans at the bar. We started a wolfpack chant but they drowned us out with their fight song.
It was hard to find parking so we parked reaaaal far away. We actually joined some random Clemson fans on our way to the stadium and they gave us some of their beers. The stadium looks huge compared to CF so I would def recommend going down and seeing what we need to work up to. 11/1/2010 12:04:13 PM |

^^^not saying I want Dean to start. But this IS the reason he has been starting. It was made known earlier in the season that this was the reason he was starting.
Talked to a player on Friday and he said the same thing about Dean starting.
I would love to see Mustafa get 20+ carries, he's becoming one of my favorite players
