I am not upset we are ranked, hell I'm glad we are having an awesome season. I just hope our boys are ready to play the most important game in recent history. We don't need to be distracted by polls/rankings and such, and cleary we have underperformed after being recognized nationally. Often I feel like rankings are placed arbitrarily to appease some board. State is good, but are we really the 21st best team in the country? In my opinion ranked teams should be able to perform consistently every week. We clearly have had some off weeks, and haven't ever given me loads of confidence going into a game bc we never know who is going to show up. Whining aside, GO PACK! Fuck the Turtles.

Not happy we are ranked that seems to be a curse. I don't think we deserve it anyway...our offense needs to get its shit together as well as Bible. I thunk the D will be ok but we make them stay on the field way too long. I really hope we win this game. I hate Maryland almost as much as I hate Carolina. My husband was on the field when they were throwing oranges and he wants to return that favor desperately. I'm glad that either way they won't be in the championship.

i was at that game too. my hatred for maryland surpassed everybody else after that stunt. if you remember, it went back and forth until the very end (like last 5 seconds or something). i think they threw the oranges prematurely. i was ready to rush the field and throw the oranges back in the stands at them, getting arrested would have been worth it as long as i hit one of those cocksuckers.

Whenever we're ranked we seem to be stepping into the toughest games of the season (vs VT and @ Clemson). It's just the (un)luck of the draw I guess. If we were ranked, then played BC or WF right after, then we would be saying "alright, we always win right after being ranked".

Obrien will figure out a way to get 3 or 4 touchdowns on our defense, and they will all come earlier in the game b4 nate/manning/cole figure out how to shut down the screens and dink/danks over the middle that Yates/Danny O love to throw.

Wilson though had a rough time with UNC/CLEM secondaries recently which are both pretty decent. So he will see this shitake at Maryland and have a field day all over them.

I also hate Maryland. I knew nothing about them before I went to State and I've only seen pure unsportsmanlike play on the field, most notably faking injuries at the end of the game as extra time outs. Fuck those guys
