what i saw in that press conference too was it looked like TOB is really close to the players. that was a pretty laid back PC by TOB standards.

He also said something pretty important which is his staff, going all the way back to BC, has been to bowl games in 8 of the last 10 years. When you read the stories about the early struggles you get that sense that he just started coaching or something, it was nice to hear him put it in perspective.

and don't get me wrong, if you have a pulse nowadays you are going to get to a bowl game, and i want better things for the program, but i really think TOB can get us there.

I remember being at the last game in Orlando and seeing the t shirt vendors around the stadium selling Tangerine Bowl shirts featuring NC State vs. Kansas State.

Also, the stadium is in a part of Orlando that really reminds me of the shitty parts of Wilmington.

I bought a laminated mini-poster from a vendor that had the [correct] teams and final score of the game on the way out of the stadium. I was pretty impressed at the time.

I don't remember the area being that ghetto - I guess I didn't walk around the stadium that much. After the game we went out to dinner at a bar in a part of town that felt like Charlotte.
