Merrill Hoge backtracking on his preseason analysis of Cam. Saying that he's more accurate than he was in the preseason - even though he said over and over that you cant improve accuracy.

Yeah I was wrong on newton. He didn't look good to me in college but I was sold after that first preseason game

I would have never thought Newton could be a viable NFL QB. Just seemed like another Jamarcus Russell/Akali Smith/Vince Young to me. GG to him for working hard and becoming a budding star. It'll be interesting to see how teams game plan around him going forward this season.
