Yeah, someone in this thread, maybe vinylbandit, has to insist to me later in the year when tickets go on sale that I have to do this. I wanted to stab myself in the face for missing Hopscotch last year.

And I really hope they don't jack up VIP prices too much.

Pretty sure that guy was joking. I think Hopscotch will be bigger/better this year, but no way in hell they get Neil Young or Pearl Jam. Both those artists are massive draws and are likely well out of Hopscotch's price range.

Pearl Jam would suck, but I'd be pretty excited about Neil.

let's say it's still on the table, but dillydaliant says something about it and it becomes public knowledge and the band decides they're definitely not doing it since it's out in the open

that would be a big deal

when we found out about the archers of loaf show, it was made very clear to us that if it became general public knowledge, they'd cancel

granted, pretty much everyone knew by the time the show rolled around, but no one said it explicitly until the day before, and even that was in slightly cryptic tweets by locals

2 new venues. (1) Fletcher Opera Theater in Progress Energy center and (2) White Collar Crime

I still think they should use Moore Square or the new Amphitheater but what do I know. (and I understand there may be contractual issues with the city or other promoters preventing this)

Also was curious as to why the new venue in Glenwood South isn't being used, I sort of thought that was a given.

the guy who runs that brought some free tickets down to our store and said that even if we didn't like the show, we'd definitely find some stuff we'd like on the schedule

i looked at the whole thing and he's wrong...it's a mini lincoln from the looks of the booking

the real question is who are the poor saps who have to play at white collar. the upside of that is that their normal clientele will be stuffed into some other shitty bar for the weekend
