Those exist, but there are some fun ones on match as well. That's why you email them first. So you don't have to meet the ones who are totally lame and dull.

Forgive my ignorance, but don't most of those sites only allow you to email people that they've matched you up with?? I honestly have no idea the difference between any of these sites...someone give me a breakdown! 1/25/2011 9:43:58 AM |

^ That's true for eharmony. But for match and okcupid, you can contact anyone.
That's part of why I think eharmony is lame.
Again, match is best, IMO. I know of at least 5 people who have met their spouses or serious sig others through match. I know of two eharmony divorces and one long-term success. And I can't think of any successful okcupid relationships. But my colleague gets laid fairly frequently from okcupid.

why would you want to contact the people you're not matched up with exactly? 1/25/2011 10:23:11 AM |

after seeing this I ended up watching a couple oldschool Paula Abdul videos. I forgot how well she can dance... and she was pretty good looking too but the 80s outfits kinda killed it

I recommend the candy store
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DLF7quqbCs
There's a story in our town Of the prettiest girl around Golden hair and eyes of blue How those eyes could flash at you Boys hung 'round her by the score But she loved the boy next door who worked at the candy store (Dream on, dream on teenage queen, prettiest girl we've ever seen)
She was tops in all they said It never once went to her head She had everything it seems Not a care, this teenage queen Other boys could offer more But she loved the boy next door who worked at the candy store (Dream on, dream on teenage queen, you should be a movie queen)
He would marry her next spring Saved his money, bought a ring Then one day a movie scout Came to town to take her out Hollywood could offer more So she left the boy next door working at the candy store (Dream on, dream on teenage queen, see you on the movie screen)
Very soon she was a star Pretty house and shiny car Swimming pool and a fence around But she missed her old home town All the world was at her door All except the boy next door who worked at the candy store (Dream on, dream on teenage queen, saddest girl we've ever seen)
Then one day the teenage star Sold her house and all her cars Gave up all her wealth and fame Left it all and caught a train Do I have to tell you more She came back to the boy next door who worked at the candy store (Now this story has some more, you'll hear it all at the candy store)

Agreed with OKCupid. I've been out of the dating game for a while since I have a gf now, but back in 2009 I got a number of awesome girls through it. I'm still friends with most of them. 1/27/2011 12:15:33 PM |

the best thing to do is work on your day game.
just go drive somewhere where people go, find an attractive woman, and tell her she's pretty and you want to take her to dinner. that shit works if you mean it.
the pool of competition in online dating is getting ridiculous, to the point where a lot of women won't respond if you aren't what they would call "hot". it's much more of a looks game online, and much more of a confidence game in real life. 1/27/2011 12:20:01 PM |

i used to get laid regularly through Yahoo! Personals back in the day. (and occasionally Adult Friend Finder)
And I am definitely not in the "hot" camp.

^^not saying i dont get some online, i always have it going, but day game is so much more efficient. 1/27/2011 1:05:49 PM |

that's where i disagree.
there is something about day game that makes it feel preferable goal, but one can rack up some kills online.
you're limited to so many contacts IRL. I mean, how many realistic attempts can you make in a day, or a week?
online, you can have multiple accounts demonstrating different personas across several different types of forums and can shotgun blast some major quantities e-game .... I mean, after the initial setup overhead, you can reach hundreds of realistic potential dates in your demographic with a few clicks of a mouse. 1/27/2011 1:24:53 PM |

??
out of a bunch of online ho's, only a small percentage i'm interested in. online dating should be a background process where you throw a bunch of shit and hope some of it sticks. if you go to public places, your only limit is how many you feel like talking to that day, and as long as you're well dressed/groomed, nice and confident you have much better chances than online.1/27/2011 2:32:15 PM |
