downloaded the demo on PSN. beat the first 4 or however many guys with scorpion on medium without much effort. it's pretty cool that they re-did the original levels like living forest but thats about all i was impressed with. compared to street fighter 4 this game moves too slow.

To the right of Cyrax, I think that is Smoke in human form?

No clue. I don't think I've seen anything less than $60 yet.

I was very surprised by the number of people who came out to North Hills last night. I was 24th in line, and I was probably about halfway through. So far I am really enjoying this game. Seems to be very polished. I've only had a few lag spikes when playing online, but people are definitely prone to quitting when they are getting their asses kicked. I'm 31-7 so far, and I have yet to learn anything any more complex than 3-hit combos. I think the only real complaint I could make is that I wish there was a way to change the onscreen notations of the button labels. Since I'm using a joystick, I sometimes have to stop and remember for a second what I have certain buttons mapped to. Maybe there's a way to change that in the options...?

Story mode in this game is completely amazing. I am thoroughly impressed that NetherRealm took the time to construct a fully scripted dialogue with battles to sort of recap the events of the first 3 MK games. I played maybe 2 hours straight of story mode, and I'm not even halfway through yet. GREAT single player content.

A couple of things. Story Mode is fantabulous until you get to the final battle, and that is a teleport your ass off extravaganza. You get Quan Chi when you finish it though. Was definitely impressed that it was the stories of 1, 2, & 3.

The totals for Kredits has to be wrong. I know Mileena's Alt costume is not 11,410 coins. Not sure if the other amounts are correct.

The Challenge Tower is ridiculous. I think I'm closing in on challenge 300, and am probably close to completing it, but they haven't indicated I'm near done other than I've fought the final Shaolin battle (Use Liu Kang & Kung Lao to defeat a tag team) according to the titles.

I dont think there are combos more than 3 or 4 hits in the move list when you hit pause, although I am sure there are bigger Kombos. To complete the Challenge Tower I have not needed anything more than what I can find in the move list on the pause screen.

The Krypt is fantastic. Not a bunch of cookie cutter tombstones this time around which is neat, but finding all of them in the Bloodmarsh can be tough. If you go to map and then go to the section you want to open stuff in it will always put you in front of something that needs to be opened which I found way helpful.

^^ I have it for 360, and I rarely if ever use the analog stick. I have had an issue with the game thinking I'm trying to perform special moves when I'm trying to do an uppercut, and that's only on characters who have a fireball motion move that uses Y.

From a gameplay perspective, it's funny how after all these years of Liu Kang supposedly being the fighter destined to win the tournament, Kung Lao is so vastly superior the fighter... Liu Kang really sucks a big one in this game.

Story mode has really put a new spin on the game. Character like smoke and erma. That were really just add one in their debut now are a bit more interesting. Kudos to Netherealm. I think this will make the sequels much more worth it. Damn you autocorrect!

You get Mileena's toilet paper costume from when you first meet her in story mode. Woopdee.

I want to find a full list of stages with stage fatalities, so far I only know of four. (Subway, Pit, Highway, Forest)
