alright, time to switch over to watch us lose.

but really, what was the point of watching the previous 4 hours of "racing"? very little of it mattered. I guess i just don't "get" nascar any more. if the rest of the race doesn't matter, so much so that a guy who starts dead last has a real chance of winning, then what's the point, other than the sheer endurance factor

It's been proven countless times over the past twenty years that Robby Gordon is an idiot.

How's this any different than riding one draft from 35th to 10th in a lap?

Most (only) NASCAR I've watched in the last ten years. Flipped back and forth between French soccer.

it's not our fault that the first 90% of a race doesn't matter for shit, dude

If you think the first 90% of the race didn't matter, then to be honest, you have never understood NASCAR or any auto-racing in the first place... I'll bet Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson would disagree with you, seeing as how they got wrecked in the first 15% of the race. I'll bet RCR would disagree with you, seeing as how most of their engines couldn't last the entire race.

If you think the first 90% is boring. Fine. To each his own. But to say "it doesn't matter" is just stupid.

It's like saying the first 3 quarters of a football game don't matter. The first 90% of a race determines who is even capable of winning in the last 10% of the race.

Exactly. The whole race matters just like it always did. Just because you like big packs instead of the tandems doesn't make one more valid than the other.

Hey aaron. Maybe you can point to a circle track in nascar. You won't find one. Shut the fuck up.

Props to bayne. He really looked like he knew what he was doing

When is robby gonna give up on life. My fantasy points were great till he got up front and fucked everything up.

I guess carl edwards has thebest ave finish in the last 3 races lol.

Only from the stand-point of attrition. And that's it. The guy who started dead last had a legitimate chance to win the race after lap 20 of 200. That's more or less bullshit. Basically, run around in a circle, tri-oval, whatever, for 180 laps and try not to get hit, then mad dash for the last 20. And saying "the last 20" is being generous.

Quote :
"Hey aaron. Maybe you can point to a circle track in nascar. You won't find one."

Hey, point to me where there's a right-hand turn at Daytona. Point to me where there's a right-hand turn at Charlotte. Point to me where there's a right-hand turn at Darlington. Point to me where there's a right-hand turn at Talledega. Point to me where there's a right-hand turn at Pocono. Point to me where there's a right-hand turn at Bristol. Point to me where there's a right-hand turn at Martinsville. That's right, you CAN'T. It's a fucking circle. The only time the boys make a right-hand turn, unless they go the other direction, is on a road course, where half the field usually crashes out because they can't handle it. And your road courses? Yeah, they are usually Formula-1 tracks. 36 races, and you only make the guys REALLY drive 5 times? That's bull.

Quote :
"Props to bayne. He really looked like he knew what he was doing"

Yep, turning left. No, he didn't look like he knew what he was doing. He looked like he got lucky as hell the dude behind him spun out, causing a caution, which allowed him to even have a chance to win.

Quote :
"It's like saying the first 3 quarters of a football game don't matter."

Only, not really. If you get a 6-TD lead by the 2nd quarter, 99 times out of 100, you win.

Quote :
"If you think the first 90% of the race didn't matter, then to be honest, you have never understood NASCAR or any auto-racing in the first place"

Show me a guy on pole that spins out in F1 on the first lap who wins the race. Yeah, doesn't happen. You know why? CAUSE THE WHOLE FUCKING RACE MATTERS. One mistake, even in the pits, and you are fucked. NASCAR? Hell, it's NORMAL to lose 7 positions in the PITS ALONE. And that is overcome in 3 laps.

Well seeing as there is more than one track inside of daytona yes there is more than 4 turns

I don't think its a fail as much as its a ticket seller. I know where you're coming from though.

If carl was racing for points one of those cars would be in the wall

Carl will still win tomorrow.

Well if you're gonna sit here and troll I'm going to be specific as fuck. In cascar they race the other way meaning they only turn right in your book. If its so easy to do why is it
A)drivers from other forms of racing come in and fail(not including jj from the baja shit)
B)when nascar does go to road courses why do the people that only turn left for a living dominate the road course drivers

Lol at danica being 4th in points.
