weed can be a problem just like anything else
this doesn't mean said pot head should stop smoking weed, it means that privacy-invading companies should mind their own business. if they can't detect through your job performance that you're a drug addict then there doesn't seem to be a problem 2/5/2011 1:31:06 PM |

I work with some very intelligent people who partake in leisure. There is nothing wrong with enjoying a bit here and there. I'd actually encourage it for people working in high stress, mentally challenging positions. It is a very good way for your brain to relax. I don't really smoke anymore but it's mainly bc I cannot openly grow for personal use in MA. I don't really want to go out and deal with procuring it through other means. 2/5/2011 2:33:12 PM |

Do they make presidents take a drug test before taking office?
I mean it's the most powerful position in the world and our past 3 presidents openly admitting to leisure drug activity.... 2/5/2011 3:00:43 PM |

i mean, i smoke weed, i just have an employer who would rather look at my performance than my piss.
i didn't notice that this thread was still going, but he passed at least 3 at-home tests and says he's not worried about it 2/5/2011 3:23:40 PM |

wait a sec...aren't you always about freedom and choice and all that unrealistic bullshit? shouldn't you be of the opinion that if you don't like it, you shouldn't work for a company that requires drug testing?
or is that different than telling someone they shouldn't patronize an establishment that allows smokers inside?
you can't have it both ways, dipshit...either stop crying and get over it, or exercise your right to quit and find another job2/5/2011 4:34:40 PM |

its perfectly appropriate to feel that if you don't like it you should go somewhere else and also feel that companies should mind their own business. i have no idea what mcdanger's opinions are, but those two things are not exclusive. 2/5/2011 4:48:44 PM |
