- museums - brewery tours - chocolate tasting class - cooking class - playing games at a coffee shop - easy hike like Umstead (unless it actually snows this week ) - volunteering at the SPCA (bitches love puppies ) 2/8/2011 3:07:53 PM |

omg, SPCA wins. Find another cute factory if not in Raleigh. No excuse for this idea not working. But maybe not so good if not interested in serious relationship. 2/8/2011 3:12:28 PM |

Can you just walk up and volunteer on the spot? I don't think they let you do that. 2/8/2011 3:15:01 PM |

OK guys I think I've got it. Dinner, Barcade, and Karoake at Club Hairspray. Not necessarily in that order. 2/8/2011 3:21:23 PM |

You planning to expose yourself to her before or after dinner? I'd wait till after...builds up the suspense. 2/8/2011 3:22:31 PM |

No but it takes about 5 minutes to call them and set up a time to do their volunteer orientation. Then when you show up for your volunteer time you conveniently have your date with you
I actually knew a guy who did this when I volunteered at an animal shelter. And he reported back that he got laid at the end of the day so it seems to work.2/8/2011 3:25:42 PM |

I think he thought I was being sarcastic
A) karaoke is always fun B) I suggested lasertag on page 1
Thus, karaoke + arcade + free food = good time imo 2/8/2011 3:29:54 PM |

I was hoping the dinner would be nice enough to balance out the non-romance of the arcade and karaoke. 2/8/2011 3:31:16 PM |

Some girls don't want romance so soon, to be honest 2/8/2011 3:32:08 PM |

Romancey activities put too much pressure on a first date anyway, imo. 2/8/2011 3:32:15 PM |

^^^ There was one on Creedmoor back in the day. No idea if it's still there.
I think Frankie's up in Brier Creek has it too. 2/8/2011 3:45:42 PM |

Frankie's Fun Park has laser tag and a decent arcade, it is also significantly less ghetto than Adventure Landing.
It would make for a fun date place ] 2/9/2011 9:08:13 PM |

We went to Jibarra and it was disappointing. We just wanted to do ceviche and drinks but they had some special menu that was blah. We made up for the disappointment by doing darts and beer afterward lol. 2/15/2011 10:02:51 AM |
