I've never understood this about some Christians. The end times are gonna happen when they happen. You voting against him isn't gonna do a damn bit of good. Hell, since presumably the second coming and all is the desired outcome, you'd think you'd want the process to hurry along.

I dunno. I don't pay much attention to that part of the deal because at best there's nothing I can do but lay back and take it if it happens.

Somehow I think the cat is already out of the bag on this one.

^he cant escape it. Now he tries to hide it? It didnt work. He can turn that into a positive, but either he is too stupid (which I dont believe) or too stubborn (more likely). Either way, not good qualities in a president. Just look at our recent history.

We like to assign the term "unelectable" to politicians who tell the truth.

"Huckabee: Abortion issue trumps all

(CNN) – Several likely GOP presidential candidates have spent the bulk of their time stressing fiscal and economic issues, but Mike Huckabee said Monday that for him the issue of abortion still trumps all other pressing concerns facing the country.

"For me this is an issue that - as I've said before - it transcends all of the political issues," Huckabee said at a fundraiser in Tennessee for the Center for Bioethical Reform, an anti-abortion group."

This compelling arguement has certainly opened my eyes. I might just vote for Obammy now. I want that magic train. Spending sprees are always fun, the bill wont be due for awhile anyway.

^are you surprised? He is a preacher who is a politician speaking to an antiabortion group. haha. Obama talks about debt reduction to conservatives groups too. I actually believe Huck believes what he is saying, but I dont see abortion ever being banned in the US completely. Its been ruled on, but both parties use the issue to stir emotions. imo

no republican has a plan that is in touch with reality
they will cut spending cause it feels good or to please their constituents and not because its the financially responsible thing to do
they will cut taxes in order to 'starve the beast', not because it will create jobs

They will continue the gutting of the middle class the the start of a new class based society in America

I'll definitely be voting for Obama or a lib/independent, & anyone who isnt drinking the lower taxes, cut spending Kool-aid that goes beyond what is responsible into what is vindictive & counter productive

In other words, you reject reality, and will cast a vote to kick the can along for the following 4 years while ignoring any structural issues that need addressing.

At least the GOP has kinda stepped away from the neocons. They're still not to the point where I will vote for many of them, though.

You act as if only democrats will not address the problem that you want addressed. I will remind you that the budget the GOP came out with was the exact same dollar amount of cuts, only to programs that they despise.

I'll support Ron Paul and Gary Johnson until they drop out. Then, if Mitch Daniels is still in the race (or even got in to the race in the first place), I'll probably support him mildly. If Mitch doesn't pan out, then the Republicans just fucked themselves over again by putting up a shitty candidate.

Huckabee gives Romney some advice. (exactly what I have been saying)

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/02/23/huckabee-romney-apologize-health-care_n_827438.html

"The position he should take is to say: 'Look, the reason Obamacare won't work is because we've tried it at the state level and we know it won't work,'" Huckabee said, offering an unsolicited script to his fellow former governor.

"'We gave it our best shot and I'm proud we tried it because – in a world where we all agreed something needed to be done – we thought this might be a way to fix the crisis we had in health care. Our experiment did not turn out as we had hoped. It cost more, waiting times were higher, quality of care went down, people were greatly dissatisfied and it ended up having almost the polar opposite effect of what was intended.'"

i am much more concerned with who is going to control congress, the obama regime can't move forward with socialism without a democratic controlled congress, in 2012 the GOP should be able to keep control of the house and take the senate majority

The fact that some of you are still labeling Obama as a Socialist is absolutely absurd.

I am a pre-med student, and I support Obama 100% as well as the new health care law.

Here are your options with the current front runners:

http://www.gallup.com/poll/146300/Huckabee-Palin-Romney-Tie-Lead-GOP-Preferences.aspx

Quote :
"Huckabee, Palin, Romney Tie for Lead in GOP '12 Preferences
Huckabee's support up six points since September

PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans and Republican-leaning independents have no clear favorite for the party's 2012 presidential nominee at this point, with Mike Huckabee (18%), Mitt Romney (16%), and Sarah Palin (16%) in a statistical tie for the lead. They are the only candidates in the crowded field of potential candidates who register double-digit support"

Front runners:
Huckabee 18
Romney 16
Palin 16

Those who beat the margin of error:
Gingrich 9
Paul 5
Bachmann 4

Everyone else got 3 or below on a poll with a margin of error of 3.

And they're running out of time, the first debates are 2 months away:

Quote :
"# May 2, 2011 – A national debate, hosted by the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and NBC.
# May 5, 2011 – A South Carolina debate, hosted by the South Carolina Republican Party."

I will be supporting Obama. He has shown a willingness to use his substantial political capital to attack fundamental problems in this country. There are very few issues that I fundamentally disagree with his stance on. I hope that he can use his next term to clean up the tax code and streamline government, as he mentioned in his State of the Union address.
