Just remember that you can only register in less than 18 months of age...At least that was the rule when Valkyrie was brought into this world.

I will never be able to show her competitively now

oh, wait....I never cared about registering her.

Also, +1 for Snuggles, the Death Bringer

Also I hate to say it but I loled when I read

Quote :
""only two accidents so far"

I was like "hmm, thats not bad"
but then I read

Quote :
"just got her last night lol"

and then:

Those are her nicknames, along with brat, monster, beast, beautiful, gorgeous, puppy, fuzzball, teddy bear lol

My only beef is she's a screamer at night in the kennel. Not as bad as Caesar was but she woke up and screamed three times last night for about 30mins before finally going to bed. Can't wait til she gets used to that shit.

^Awww

I'm glad our puppy doesn't mind the crate. She just gets whiny in the morning when it's time to wake up.

I know, it makes me feel terrible but I know she will get used to it like Caesar did and will use it when he needs some alone time lol

But it still sucks esp since we are in the loft. We were supposed to be moved by now. Only 2 more weeks though

yeah, I was very surprised how good our dog was about his crate. He took about 2 hours to get settled (just moving stuff around inside) the first night, and woke up a couple of times to readjust, but he was never a whiner (unless he needs to poo, but that is acceptable).

He has always been good in a car- just looks out a window or sleeps the whole time

Lucky bitches. Any advice to help her transition? I've always heard ignoring her is the best because if you respond she will eventually learn that screaming = attention but damn she will carry on.

It won't be so bad when we are in our new house but we can't have her downstairs here because of the neighbors.

Not yet.

We put her in our room so she could see us and the first night she would whimper a little and id bang a noise and she'd stop, last night she wouldn't an we were both tired so we put her in the shower upstairs with a night light and let her cry it out.

We can try a cover tonight, we even put a toy in there and let her walk in herself but she still screamed.

Yeah covering it might help. We did that one morning when Eva woke up about an hour too early for our liking and she quieted down lol

Still screaming, cover didn't work.

Luckily, our closest neighbor can't hear her so I'm pretty confident no one else can.

yea i say get earplugs and ignore her

otherwise she will know if she makes noises you will come and do something (even if it is just putting her somewhere else)

even banging a noise is giving her attention

apparently, as i learned in my doggy 101 class, which hasn't helped my dog but we're still TRYING, that attention is attention. positive or negative, it is attention. so like, my dog jumps up on people and instead of spanking her, saying no, pushing her off or whatever, you're supposed to just ignore it because even negative attention is making it worse. it is really hard though with annoying behaviors like crying, barking, jumping, etc.

Yeah and we have been ignoring her for the most part. It just grates my nerves because that noise USED to mean my older dog has made a shitastic mess in his kennel and now can't even stand it himself. So when I hear the screaming I'm like GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

But she doesn't do it constantly all night like my older dog did, the time is getting less and less except for at 7am, she won't stop.

I'll be happy when we are in our house and she can scream all she wants on the other side of the house.

She probably has to pee at 7am after holding it in for a couple hours.

FML I'm taking her out EVERY HOUR and she is still peeing in the house. f.m.l.

Can't wait til it's a run out the door to the yard instead of run two blocks to the first grassy spot.

Bath time??
