mdbncsu... He is a Rhodesian Ridge-back mix. With humans he is super sweet and loving. Would cuddle up next to someone all day if he could. I get the feeling he see's animals smaller than him as food, and ones bigger as trying to attack him so he becomes defensive. 2/14/2011 5:57:51 PM |

so about training (words)...we have gone through training with professionals, people at pet stores, and by ourselves with a lot of reading (also watching Caesar Milan like crazy). Our dog is a rescue and apparently abused before we got her by her foster parents. I don't know if that is true but this dog absolutely LOVES other dogs and is scared shitless (literally bc she once turded when our friend went to pet her ) of people. We have followed the advice of many professionals and dog enthusiasts, even got our second lovable dog Rew because we were told that she possible just needs a human loving companion. I think we have given up lately because we have had her now for 3 1/2 years with very little progress. She knows how to sit, shake, lay down, stand tall on her hind legs, and how to fetch (in the house of course).
I long to take her to the dog park but we did one time and she ran away. I also wish she would not be so terrified of people bc we do have people over from time to time.
Also, leash update, I got her this leash today
in hopes it will be better clasp(?) type of leash than
