I make it frequently in the summer from my garden-grown cucumbers. It's easy and doesn't take much time.

I sometime like a condiment "suicide" with ketchup, mustard, mayonaie and hot sauce.

clarifying question

if the dish contains multiple amendments is it no longer just "fries"

like poutine, Irish spice bags, or a Halal snack pack

is that fries or its own thing?

The 5 or 6 times a year I have french fries, i use ketchup and black pepper. And usually use a fork because the ketchup is poured over the fries, not dipped and held in my hand like a neanderthal
