Wolfpack's Howell expected back

N.C. State's Richard Howell, a 6-8 forward who suffered a head injury Sunday against Maryland, is expected to play Wednesday against North Carolina, Coach Sidney Lowe said.

School officials said Howell met Monday with Charlie Rozanski, State's director of sports medicine, to have his condition assessed. Howell was accidentally elbowed in the head by teammate DeShawn Painter and left the game. Lowe said Monday that Howell did not sustain a concussion.

I know I always get crap for it, but I'd much target see at LEAST even minutes between Painter and Vandy, but would prefer that TBDV see the floor more. Painter has to be the most useless scholarship player on the team. His D is horrendous, and his offense is so spotty. The worst part is that he never uses his size to his advantage. At least Vandenberg does that on the defensive end.

UNC is improved, but they suck ass right now. They've just been lucky, I mean hell, they couldn't put Wake away until towards the end of of the second half then follow that up with a 48pt performance at home against a team they dropped 106 on previously.

Now, knowing us and NC State Shit, their offense will be back.

Roy fucking hates NC State and will have the holes ready to play. They'll drop 90+ on us again. We are medicine for UNC anytime they are struggling.

but seriously, that's pretty harsh. he's shown more improvement this year than I expected.

for playing very limited minutes and doing almost nothing last year, he held his own when tracy was out (i know, against mostly shitty team, i know).

Painter is actually a very solid defender (though his foul rate is much too high). His rotations and instincts defensively are top notch and his length and athleticism are upper tier.

If you look at the numbers his rebound rate is about the same as Tracy's and his blocks/steals are significantly higher than Tracys. Even his assists are close (b/c tracy isnt passing this year). He's definitely the most improved player on the team and if he makes the same strides next year he'll be ACC ready.


Howell being out is huge for us. He's our best rebounder and toughest post player against a team that relies on size to win.

If you haven't noticed UNC has really struggled since halftime against Duke. They've really been shellshocked for their last 5 halves of basketball.

We have a great opportunity to upend them tomorrow night. We always tend to fall short in these situations, but we really seem to have all the momentum going into tomorrow night.

Leslie is clearly a better college basketball player than Harrison Barnes (seriously, the stats aren't even close after Leslie's recent tear) and tomorrow night he can seal the award.

Tracy is due for a career game. Javi has broken out. CJW is playing with confidence. Wood is hitting shots. Lo Brown proved last time he can score against the Heels.

All we need is for Harrow to turn the corner. I really think he hit rock bottom against Maryland and is due to put together a decent game.

The energy is going to be in the building. I will be wearing my Obama Sucks, Carolina Sucks customized teeshirt.

We are going to fucking win. Eat a dick. All of you.
