They should find a way to work Uncle Jesse in, and then over the course of the next three seasons, turn the show into Full House.

The show is terrible and Charlie Sheen hasn't been remotely funny for like 15 years.

While this whole thing is somewhat funny in a train-wreck sort of way, I can't stand him and would like nothing more than for his career to be over after all this.

are you kidding me?

Charlie's "rants" have been amazingly articulate and structured. The comments he makes may not be standard conversation but that is only because he no longer refrains from saying anything that enters his mind.

Charlie's recent comments aren't crazy, but, rather, an full, outright expression of his own narcissism. If half of the megalomaniacs on this website didn't hold back in real life they wouldn't sound so much different than Charlie Sheen. Oft enough people only refrain from saying what is in their head because they value their social connections and, in a variety of ways, rely on others for their well-being. Charlie, based on his wealth and "enlightenment" does not feel this way.

While his commentary is unconventional, he isn't crazy and is actively lampooning how we all live.

Simply put, he is busy winning.

what would I be kidding about?

That's great that you expressed your own opinions but I'll restate my own:

-Charlie Sheen hasn't been funny in a long time
-The show is one of the worst, most overrated shows in a very long time
-His narcissism doesn't entertain me. Big whoop, he has made a bunch of money and thus doesn't have to care about what other people think of him or what comes out of his mouth. Great for him but it's nothing new. How is that articulate, enlightened or profound in any way? It is what it is. Some people will find it funny, interesting, or great while others will find it pointless.

There is nothing profound about this. Stop trying to make it sound like it is some enlightening sociology study.

I apologize if you lack creativity and if you choose to speak without imagery. Anyone with critical reasoning skills can understand Charlie doesn't really think he has fire breathing fists or tiger blood in his veins. When you read excerpts, it is easy to think that way but when watching an entire interview it becomes clear his use of imagery is for effect, and nothing else.

Personally, I think you're just a little jealous of the man's genius.

He called in to Howard Stern this morning and it was a pretty great interview. It was during the 8 o'clock hour if anyone wants to catch the replay. If you tune to 101 around 11AM you will be able to catch it.

He said he is going to call in again tomorrow too, but we'll see.

I normally don't give two fucks about celebrity garbage, but this seems to be a hot issue lately.

"Sources: CBS Begins Courting John Stamos to Replace Charlie Sheen (for Real This Time!)

While Charlie Sheen was on a press tour this weekend, CBS' top boss man was on a quest to save Two and a Half Men.

I just got word that Les Moonves had a nice chat with John Stamos on Saturday about replacing Sheen on the hit sitcom.

Really? Here's what went down...

READ: Celebs react to Charlie's meltdown

Sources exclusively tell me that Moonves approached Stamos at Jeffrey Katzenberg's Night Before benefit at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

"They were at the bar talking and Les asked John if he'd be interested in replacing Charlie," one source says. "It wouldn't be to play Charlie's character but they talked more about introducing a new character."

There were rumors early last week that Stamos was in talks to take over for Sheen, but Stamos tweeted on Friday, "Contrary to the rumors, I am not replacing Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men. however, Martin Sheen has asked me to be his son."

I'm told the conversation between the Moonves and Stamos lasted for about 15 minutes. It's unclear if more formal conversations are set to take place, but a source reports that Moonves' talk-show cohost wife Julie Chen and Paramount Pictures CEO Brad Grey piped in, too. "They were all for it," the source said. "They were saying how they think it could definitely work."

Reps for CBS and Stamos did not immediately comment.

Now, it's your turn. Stamos on Two and a Half Men? Sound off below."

I'll go ahead and post a pre-emptive

i think chuck lorre does a pretty decent job in his latest vanity card:

Quote :
""CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #334

"I understand that I'm under a lot of pressure to respond to certain statements made about me recently. The following are my uncensored thoughts. I hope this will put an end to any further speculation.

"I believe that consciousness creates the illusion of individuation, the false feeling of being separate. In other words, I am aware, ergo I am alone. I further believe that this existential misunderstanding is the prime motivating force for the neurotic compulsion to blot out consciousness. This explains the paradox of our culture, which celebrates the ego while simultaneously promoting its evisceration with drugs and alcohol. It also clarifies our deep-seated fear of monolithic, one-minded systems like communism, religious fundamentalism, zombies and invaders from Mars. Each one is a dark echo of an oceanic state of unifying transcendence from which consciousness must, by nature, flee. The Fall from Grace is, in fact, a Sprint from Grace. Or perhaps more accurately, 'Screw Grace, I am so outta here!'"

He is just mad because the scope of my intellect isn't bound by the imprisonment of society. I have the mental capacity to break apart a single idea into a wealth of contributing factors. Once you remove the blinders of this puritanical society you can fully evaluate life and history for what it is. I choose to do this every day while 99/100 of the population chooses to operate half asleep- a mindless zombie in their applebees-eating-mini-van-driving-paradise.

Sheens words in no way parallel a homeless person's rant, and to equate his recent statements as rants is disingenuous, at best. Much of what he has said has been edited and designed in a way to paint a negative light. Many of the impressions that have developed as a result of full interviews have been polluted based on the infested seed planted by the rabid nature of news reporting. You can't deny that the US Population loves a public meltdown of those in the spotlight. If John Lennon were alive today, he would undergo much of the same negative libel and slander that is directed towards Sheen.

Sheens thoughts and truths are coherent; his words create impact. All of what he has to say comes from a very high level, and i'm sorry if due to some low* IQ you cannot grasp the meaning of what he has to say.

*low in relation to charlie.

This is because a good portion of the population are numb-minded voyeurs. This almost undermines your point; his words only create impact with those who spend inordinate amounts of time getting caught up in celebrity gossip in an attempt to fill some sort of void in their own life. But give him a gold star for being coherent and creating a media buzz if you'd like.

No, you insufferable, close-minded troglodyte. Sheen's colorful metaphors are only a part of it. Sheen mostly speaks of a higher philosophy about life that many people appreciate but actively push to the side and ignore so that they don't drown themselves int heir own boredom. Believe it or not, the porn stars are just part of that philosophy. We all spend our money on things that we enjoy, hobbies if you will. I don't like hunting, but some do. I don't spend money on video games, but some do. Sheen just chooses to spend his money on what entertains him. The fact of the matter is that many people are just jealous of what he can do with his money. Think about how high of a dollar the XXX industry is, or how active sites like adult friend finder and craigslist casual encounters are. People want to live his lifestyle, but they are too afraid to do it on the open arena. He has said "I don't care any more" and is explaining to others why they should free themselves too. The basic tenants of what he has to say are so obvious, but it is no wonder feels like a uniquely guided genius since people can't, or, rather, choose to dismiss, this concept.

Quote :

My comment in no way undermines my point. His words have impacted, negatively or positively, people who lend varying amounts of attention to celebrity gossip. There are many who regularly avoid celebrity gossip, yet are very intrigued with the Sheen commentary. I believe your argument fails once you realize that anyone who is entirely ignorant of an issue isn't impacted by it.
