There's legit discussion about the next coach in the coaching searching thread, discussing selling points of NC State, discussing ideal candidates, people posting links to national articles about the impending coaching search, etc.. Wanna know why? Because it's the biggest sports conversation surrounding NC State University at the moment and it will be for a couple of months. Sorry if that pisses you off just b/c lowe wasn't the program builder you predicted him to be, but that' just the reality of the situation

Serious question, not trying to be a douche, but why do we have to have a separate thread for every team in the MLB every year?

Right now there are dedicated threads for:
Indians, Rangers, Orioles, Nationals, Twins, Yankees, Cubs, Braves, Mets

If we can keep our premiere league soccer to one thread (with fans of all different teams included), why the need for a MLB season thread and individual teams? These things only reach a couple pages every year anyway. Why clutter up the board?

Most are legit. Braves thread is 25+ pages every year, Yankees and Mets 4 or 5, Orioles and White Sox 2 or 3.

No reason for a Nationals or Indians thread, though. And there's already a Josh Hamilton thread, so no reason for the Rangers. How about any team that couldn't hit two pages the previous year gets locked up.

But really, baseball season is a down time for a college-based sports forum. Top threads on page 2, that are being buried by baseball threads:

That is patently false and very ignorant.

But anyway, I agree with you guys to a point but at some point it becomes selective moderating. If I see one person padding the hell out of a thread with no one else responding I'll trash it. Same with anyone who makes a thread for a flavor of the month team a month after the season starts.

I honestly have no idea how to handle the '*** Official' threads. I also get tired of seeing the screen littered with that crap. It is one of those things I would crack down on if the 'boss' decided it was appropriate.

If I started to outlaw those titles, there would be non-stop bitching.

I am happy to see threads groups in nice topics, and dont see any problem with their being a new thread for a new year of discussion when the season turns over.
