To say that going to the NIT would delay a search is pretty ridiculous. You mean Yow won't be looking for a new coach/make up her mind prior to the end of the post season that isn't the NCAA?

If we are going after all the big names people think we will, we will not announce until they lose in the NCAAT, so us playing a game or 2 in the NIT would not really delay us hiring someone. It might slightly delay us announcing we will be going in a different direction.

I think we should keep the vacancy for as short of a period of time as possible. Last time we waited a couple weeks to hire someone, we lost all of our incoming recruits. At this point it is too late for the new coach to bring a class together, might as well as try to save what Sidney has coming in next year

i don't want to go to the NIT and risk the possibility of repeating this season again next year, and the year after, and the year after, until we've played in it 4 consecutive years and our crowds can't surpass 9,000 people.
