Why do you need to know how to park? Everywhere you go has valet.

It's pretty obvious what the advantages are to backing into spots, especially for large trucks and sports cars (that usually have poor rearward visibility). But being TWW, no surprise people decided to assume the offenders were pretentious or stupid instead, where in reality most of them just have more common sense than you. 4/20/2011 1:30:29 PM |

I don't back into spots, I just pull through to the next. 4/20/2011 1:31:27 PM |

the opposite is true at my place of employment. i got there early and the woman in the spot across from me hadn't gotten there yet so I pulled through. I got a ticket on my window by the security guard warning me not to back in my car. 4/20/2011 1:46:57 PM |

^^dude, seriously?...I think you know what I meant.
My parking lot is shared with one other company and one of the idiots that works over there parks his POS Saturn at an angle, occupying two spaces, at the end of a row. And it's not a POS b/c it's a Saturn. It's a POS b/c an entire front fender is bashed up and almost entirely missing...and yet he feels compelled to take up two spots? 4/20/2011 1:51:41 PM |

I usually back in because I have a full size truck. I parked forward one day and one of the higher ups in the company asked me to back in because my hitch stuck out. 4/20/2011 2:01:34 PM |

^^Actually, I was just being a smartass. I do back in almost every time I park.
It is better to see what will be behind you entering the parking space, rather than hoping there won't be anything behind you when it is time to leave.
Also, I drive a 1/2 ton truck, so navigating tight parking lots can be a royal PITA sometimes. It is easier to back in most of the time. 4/20/2011 2:34:12 PM |

it is definitely easier to back in. I don't do it near as much as i should since I drive an F-150. Usually though, i look for places to pull through and most of the time park in the back of the lot or look for spots with only 1 open space next to me and a natural barrier on the other side (one-bangers) 4/20/2011 2:43:01 PM |

I park away from everyone whenever I can. I don't want to get door dings. But rest assured, I'm not the asshat that takes up 2 spots to make sure I don't get door dings. Those people suck. 4/20/2011 2:47:48 PM |

I always back in mostly because it's easier to get out of the spot later especially when leaving a concert, show, or some other place prone to traffic. 4/20/2011 2:53:04 PM |

I knew a girl who would never parallel park.
Her definition of parallel parking was parking on the street and not in a parking lot or driveway. She was weird. 4/20/2011 4:11:32 PM |
