i picked up polanco to play 3rd for me, which has worked out splendidly. i wound up just asking the commish to lift the can't cut list temporarily for me to drop dunn, but turns out he manually dropped him for me, so i couldn't change my mind even if i wanted to. it's fine though, i had teixeira, a gonzalez, and ike davis at first, along with 5 OFers, so someone had to go. we've got 2 util spots, but those are occupied by the 1st basemen who are actually productive

Hudson's line for tonight: 7 IP, 5 H, 0 BB, 0 ER, 6 Ks. I could understand dropping him later because he hasn't been playing that well, but he would have been a great spot start against the Padres.

Ted Lilly is on his last leg with me. If he performs poorly in his next start to the Pirates, I am dropping him and just finding spot starters the rest of the way.

so someone dropped paul konerko in my league and i picked him up. i also picked up Utley, i figured i can let him sit on my bench for 20 days...

i now have an abundance of 1st basemen...

Votto, Hafner, Ike Davis, Konerko.

right now im starting Votto, Hafner, and Konerko...

Should i attempt to trade Ike Davis and Russell Martin,,,i have Joe Mauer also, but like Utley on the DL....

i need a SS...so should i attempt to trade Martin and Davis for a good SS and pray that Mauer comes back to his original hitting champ form?


Pablo Sandoval is also a free agent, but on the DL...should i drop Chipper Jones and pick him up? or stay with chipper?

yea, it was a woman who dropped Konerko and picked up Brett Wallace of the Astros???

i was 9th on the Waiver wire, so im guessing nobody else wanted him...

I dropped Logan Morrison to pick him up, so hopefully he doesnt go off when he returns from the DL...

as for the talented FA pool...yep...i agree...but im still in last place. ha

a guy in our league has Soriano and Granderson, but soriano is on his bench, he wont trade him because he is a cubs fan...

I wish I was in your league. I am struggling with my middle infield with Infante not being good so far and Nishioka breaking his damn leg. My pitching also hasn't caught on yet and I have very low steals . I don't think I will win this year, but I can definitely be Top 3 if I play it well.

Napoli hasnt looked good at all. He has always been prone to K, can count on him for .240-.250 AVG and maybe 14HR given his limited PT. I have Martin a Lucroy on the trading block.

Crawford, Bruce, Chris Young, Morrison, Morse, and Rasmus are my OF. My gay ass league plays 5 OF and I typically use the 6th OF for the Util slot.

I'm thinking if I drop any of them for Soriano, it'd be Rasmus, right?

I think it'd be tough decision between Morrison and Rasmus. Depends on what your team needs.

Rasmus has struggled a bit but is batting 1-2 in a real potent lineup when healthy so he will score more runs and steal more bases. Morrison will give you a higher average and if Rasmus can turn it on a bit in the 2nd half they could be pretty close in HR/RBI.

I personally like Rasmus a little more but I think it's pretty close

I've had the injury bug all year. Crawford, Jeter, Oswalt, Lidge, Morneau, Posey and Sandoval all have been on the DL at some poimt for me (I think Logan Morrison too). A few of those guys are no longer on the team. But somehow I've managed to go 9-2. The team doesn't blow anyone away, but gets the job done. It doesn't hurt that the other top teams keep beating each other.
