Yeah Clay is toast for sure at this point. Good episode, looking forward to next weeks especially the Opie/Unser confrontation at the cabin.
I think Tara will be biting the dust as well. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised to see a large amount of characters die before the end of the season, Tara, Clay, Gemma, Unser... probably just means nobody will. 11/9/2011 6:25:34 AM |

the creative team has done a well enough job of offing some side characters in the previous seasons to make us feel like there has been some loss. But no point in the past has come close to the downfall this season could potentially produce and I don't think there is any way the writers can sidestep killing off 3-4 major characters. Clay, Unser, Juice all seem to have growing targets each and every week. If this episode is any indication, the final stretch is going to be a roller coaster. 11/9/2011 8:51:25 AM |

holy shit... just watched this week's episode. I doubt Tara dies... she is getting set up to become the next old lady of the club president when Jax steps up (after clay dies - which will NOT happen this season I'm almost certain of)... And Jax will step up since Tara can no longer be a surgeon. 11/9/2011 7:35:40 PM |

I agree, but man I hope they don't drag out Clay getting killed for another 4-5 episodes into the beginning of next season. They do well dragging things out though(hell, it's been 2 full episodes and nobody in the club knows Piney is dead yet).
I think Piney, Unser, and one of Gemma, Tara, Clay are sure bets to be killed this season. I don't think Sutter would have asked for another episode this season just to drag it all out until next season.
It will likely be Gemma or Tara My gut says Tara, but it would make more sense for it to be Gemma then Jax and Tara can become Clay and Gemma part 2. 11/9/2011 9:40:46 PM |

you also have to realize how short time spans are in this series. Many of the 13 episode seasons are only covering 8-10 weeks of real time for these characters. In our reality it's been 2 episodes and 2 weeks, in the show's world it's been maybe 3 days max and Piney has been known to disappear for a lot longer11/10/2011 8:24:49 AM |

My favorite season was Season 2, the third one was ok, so I had high hopes for this one. I'm over Tara, she's always been off for me, so I think taking her out would be nice. I would also like to see the club more aware of what the AUSA is doing, but he is no Stahl (I thought she was a great character). I did appreciate the "after the Jetsons" comment. Side note, Jax's shoes have ALWAYS bothered me: why are you wearing white sneakers in a motorcycle club? What are they? New jordans? I can't take you seriously. And Gemma is my favorite, that's a woman that can take . Excited for tomorrow night... 11/14/2011 11:00:22 AM |

Honestly I thought last nights episode was complete shit. Considering it was supposed to be an hour and a half special a lot more should have happened. Jax's reaction to his mother getting the shit beat out of her was weak. The only thing that kept me awake last night waiting for something to happen was the Opie/Unser conversation (which was the best part). Everything else in the episode was really just filler. 11/16/2011 7:31:05 PM |

It actually was a pretty action packed episode. Its just that most of the action was meaningless. All the cartel stuff was just BS filler. 11/17/2011 7:52:09 AM |

the cartel shootout was some of the worst directed "action" i have ever seen.
it really stood out in an otherwise very gripping and intense episode. i will be absolutely miffed if Clay survives the few episodes. 11/17/2011 8:25:47 AM |

The Potter and Otto deal is interesting, but is Bobby's visit to Otto going to make Otto not sign the papers? Should Bobby have slept with LuAnn, probably not, but don't they have a code that the Old Ladies can do whatever while the guy is in prison? Opie's going to get it, but I hope he takes Clay out with him. And totally suprised with the baby mama drama, btw. 11/17/2011 11:08:58 AM |

I dont think Opie gets it. I actually think they are setting him up to continue the show. Jax and Opie plot line is far more interesting than Clay. I could be wrong and he could get shot in the penis next week or something crazy 11/17/2011 1:33:53 PM |

I see two possible scenarios happening..
1. i see it set up as Clay finally gets is comeuppance, Jax carries through with getting his family out of Charming and thus becomes Nomad without leaving the MC all together. Opie is voted in as the new president with Elvis or Tig as VP. But something ultimately happens either within the club or to Jax that brings him back to Charming to save the day in season 5.
2. clay survives but is finally blackballed from the club. most of what i typed above continues but it's clay that the club comes to for help ultimately gaining redemption at the end.] 11/17/2011 1:46:30 PM |

I don't see how Clay can be redeemed after what he's done this season. When he ordered opie killed in the first season at least he had real remorse when he found out he was mistaken and donna was killed. 11/17/2011 1:54:53 PM |

Clay is well past redemption. I think we will see a Jax and Opie double kill of him at some point in the finale. Once the truth finally comes out about everything I see no way he survives. 11/17/2011 2:26:10 PM |

Last episode was good. Pissed Jax didn't help Opie. Clay will probably live through this and Jax will eventually get the killing blow.

^i'm surprised it took you this long.
last night was incredible. It's looking more and more like Bobby Elvis will become the club's new inside man now that he's being brought up on murder charges. If Clay does somehow survive, this is a huge blow as he was one of the few voices of reason that would stand up against Clay. 11/23/2011 8:18:22 AM |

I liked how Opie lowered the gun, then changed his mind and was like, to hell with it. Nice episode, can't wait until next Tues. Bummer for Bobby Elvis, was hoping he could get to Otto before Otto signed the papers. Side note, do we know where the Irish Kings are getting the big guns?

If Bobby is locked up, and Clay survives, it's bad for the club as Bobby had no issues standing against him. 11/23/2011 9:32:27 AM |

if clay does come back there is no way that he will remain at the head of SAMCRO. Everyone knows he put the hit out on Opie that ended up killing Donna. Shouldn't be hard to believe that he killed Piney when Piney was blatantly pushing back against the club running powder for Galindo.
I really hope he doesn't come back though. It seems to obvious. They already pulled it one time this season with Juice attempting to hang himself.

The guy who writes the show plays otto. He was into the bike scene. To me, it seemed like when he ratted it tough, but that could also be good acting. 11/24/2011 6:16:12 PM |

1) Gemma was so smooth telling Jax all that Clay did even though she was in on it, too 2) Tara had that plan ready like she'd been planning it awhile, but I like it 3) So Tig just tried to run over some Niners, chase ensues, followed by Jax shooting up that SUV, and they just go back to the garage, with no security measures? The Niners know where the Garage is, and could figure out that all those motorcycles were SAMCRO, but no retaliation? I was waiting the whole episode for them to come after Jax. 4) Only 1 episode left, and the Club still doesn't know Potter is after them? Are they going to wrap it up in 1 show, or carry over? 12/1/2011 12:30:13 PM |

No discussion about the finale?
I honestly don't know how I feel about the giant glowing reset button that practically fell from the sky. When I first finished watching the episode I was on such a high. I cannot wait to see where this massive power change takes the club next season.
But the more I think about it, I'm annoyed at how all the drama, all the buildup, everything that was laid out so nicely throughout the whole season was just swept away with one massive reveal. I guess we still have to deal with the drama of Jax not being able to kill Clay next season (for a while anyway) but it really does seem like Sutter wanted to have his cake and eat it too with that twist. Everybody gets to do bad things, and find out all the secrets and there are no repercussions. I'm not sure I can swallow that pill. Of course, that doesn't mean I won't be anxiously awaiting next season. 12/7/2011 2:22:24 AM |

In some way I was pissed, this season had ended with some much action I wanted it to continue in a good way... but all in all it was a pretty good closing episode. I am getting sort of tired of the expectation that a season finale has to end on a massive cliffhanger or with people dying. It was nice to have a finale that actually wrapped some story lines up (Though I'll be pretty pissed if Potter is gone, he was my fav new character and he was hilarious last night). 12/7/2011 6:30:12 AM |

I also thought that the final episode was kind of a cheap way out. Lots of buildup, then...nothing. My wife brought the LOL, said it was "like having sex for an hour and then no orgasm".
I liked where they were going with it, but I can't see how they thought this was season finale material. 12/7/2011 8:05:19 AM |

This episode definitely felt more like a season premiere then a season finale. Keep in mind that the season was supposed to end with episode 13, so we could've ended with Clay getting shot. I think that would've been a far worse way to end because then we we would've had 8 months of speculation instead of a week. People would've been insanely pissed at that point that the cliffhanger was a cop out.
Sutter specifically requested an extra episode to wrap things up, he didn't want to end like two seasons ago with a major cliffhanger, I think in this day and age that's a pretty admirable thing to do. So tired of every season finale needing to have a big wtf moment at the end.
However - compare this finale to one like Breaking Bad. It was a very similar season to this previous season of Breaking Bad (lots of buildup to the death of a major character). Except they went the opposite direction and had the action packed finale in which the major character did die, and it was an awesome finale. 12/7/2011 8:28:17 AM |
