I wasn't allowed to get my license until I was 18. Probably a smart move by my parents.

not smart for your insurance. They should of got your license at 16 and just not let you drive. Then your insurance ages.

It actually worked out cheaper in the end. My insurance was never very expensive. Besides my parents didn't give a shit, one way or the other I was responsible for insurance payments.

my first car was an 86 acura legend. not a fast car by any means. I still ended up flipping the car by doing stupid shit. Then when i was 17 I got a mustang GT. I still have it. Its all about responsibility and really learning how to drive and control the car if you do in fact decide to do dumb shit.

When I was in the Netherlands doing research they threw a big party whenever someone (usually a graduate student) managed to get a driver's license. Until then, here is your bicycle; please keep it locked when not in use so that no one steals it or throws it in the river.
