2. stakeouts at food and weapons places? really?
3. zombification of kids
4. people aimlessly wandering undetected by aliens
5. barricades keeping aliens out on the ground
6. c4 easily killing aliens
7. humans defeating aliens in one on one combat
8. slow guns on walkers with horrible aim

Theres no way an invasion force with the type of energy technology to get here would be this weak anyway.

Not that the aliens are like zombies but the alien invasion in this show has created a world akin to the world characters on any zombie movie experience. Basically you could swap the aliens out with zombies and the show would still make perfect sense. Literally. Think about each scene that has aliens in it and swap them out with zombies.

i thought last night's episode was pretty decent. This show is a must-DVR due to the insane amount of commercial breaks. Had I been watching in real time I may have given up, but fast forwarding through it I was pretty hooked for much of the hour. There is still lots of cheesy dialog and bad acting but it's not bad for summer tv.

downloaded the pilot and watched it yesterday afternoon then watched the episode last night. the show is alright; it is nothing to write home about. the acting is pretty bad, enough so it distracts from the storyline which itself is kinda meh. Since all my other shows that were on Sunday nights ended, I will watch this for now but it's nothing more than summer filler for me. I feel like if you miss an episode you can catch right up with the next one, there's no hinging information from 1 to the next. That may change as we progress tho.

and yes, holy batman the number of commercial breaks! insane.

these aliens have technology sophisticated enough to travel here and wipe out every military (the part they conveniently don't show us on the show) yet they sleep like bats, don't carry weapons and attack with about as much strategy as a spider (the bike scene) Its like if we sent monkeys to invade Libya after our air force took out their military.

I'm still going to keep watching until the son fucks the christian.

They really REALLY need to start answering some questions or progressing the storyline soon. I feel like every episode is the same exact thing over and over. We still don't know how the aliens took over or what they are trying to accomplish or why they are using kids to collect scrap metal.

I like the last few episodes much better than the beginning, they covered how they took over in the first minute of the premiere, who gives a shit about answers, its a stupid premise with absolutely no basis in reality

its much more a look at how people react in a situation like that, and thats whats made it good the last few episodes

agree with saps. this show, for what it is, is very entertaining and I haven't once thought they needed to speed things up or answer anything. I thought last night's episode was great and actually had quite a bit of suspense built up during the hospital scenes.

It appears as though maybe the mind control is lifted once the "mother" of a group of harnessed kids dies.

Also, not sure what problems Pope will cause now that he's on his own but i'm sure we haven't seen the last of him.
