Hopefully this will encourage ESPN to re-play The U soon, I never got to see it.

DJ Williams

less than I thought on Chris Rix-hits: Sean Taylor "hit of the game" for $1000, Jonathan Vilma hit+PF for $1000, Vilma hit again for $1000

is ESPN still silent about this whole fiasco?

its a shame Butch wasn't implicated at all, I'd love proof that he was into dirty shit long before he went to UNC

This is really some shit. DAAAAAMMMMNNNNN.... They may lose almost a decade of wins. This season is useless. If your Miami, do you risk playing any possible player involved/named? I am a Miami fan, and this sucks.

Prime Time in the ACC spent 15 minutes talking about how great Butch Davis was at cleaning up the U.

I was just thinking...this guy could likely go down as the biggest douchebag in sports history. I think sports fans could forgive him for providing all that shit to players, because we know that feeling of wanting our team to win. But to do it for 10 years with someone else's money and then turn around and completely snitch the program out? That's just fucked up.

Miami probably deserves the death penalty here.

From the presser yesterday, sounds like Al Golden was completely blindsided by this, and it may be the case that the administration new this was beginning to unfold when they hired him (sports radio talk, so grain of salt)

Although we may not want to trust the asshole, I know I don't, there are way too many detailed facts and "corroborating" stories that so far are backing these allegations up.

Miami may become the next SMU...

Shapiro should sue Miami for lack of results on the field. Terrible return on his investment.

this Miami investigation makes the whole OSU scandal look pretty minor

prostitutes, subsidized abortions and bounties for injuring opposing players is pretty damning stuff. They can take their "swagger" straight to death row, right alongside SMU.

I assume the death penalty wouldn't come into effect until next year (schedule already made for this year, investigation would take a long time), and this year would see a plethora of suspensions, like UNC last year.

If I was Golden, I would leave immediately. He won't be able to do shit at that university once the NCAA is finished. Recruiting will be non-existent, no post-season for AT LEAST several years, probation FOREVER, etc.

Get the fuck out and go somewhere small.

The ACC should also get rid of Miami. It's next to impossible to run a clean program in that city. What other college town has the numerous amounts of strip clubs, bottle-service-type night clubs, yachts, etc. with all these Luther Campbell wanna-bes where it's way too easy to throw money at these dirt poor kids. Add insult to injury...they haven't even been that good! Drop them and add WVU or Pitt (or both, fuck it...find another and get to 14 teams).

Might as well, if they have to vacate 10 years worth of wins as you say, what's another year?

i thought miami's philosophy has always been "fuck the world we're going to break rules in front of you and not give a fuck b/c we win every game we play". might as well go for broke this season, even though they suck.

agreed. It brings up a lot of questions as to how the logistics of the season would go.

If they couldn't play for 2 years, does that effectively make the ACC an 11 team conference for those two years, thereby killing the ACC championship game? If so that's bad for everyone.
