dude drew wasnt getting any better it was over for her

astro's flows have been trailing off as well, his performance the last show was somewhat unintelligible and not as imaginative as his past bars

these two were the right picks to go home, i could have also been happy with the fat scraggly bum guy going home also but he has much more of an upside than drew

i dont think astro is a punk at all, thats just an excuse to protest rap being on x-factor for the anti-rap guys. he just wasnt as good as he started out and needed to no longer be in the competition. The anti-rap crowd needed an excuse to call an emcee a thug and a brat..whatever makes em feel good.

It was pretty amazing for Astro even get as far as he did on this show, which at the end of the day, is a singing competition just like American Idol. Rapping a Michael Jackson song probably didn't sit well with a lot of people either. In any case, dude was too good for a silly competition like this anyway, and will most likely be signed by Jay-Z/Kanye/Eminem sometime in the near future.

Every song drew did was sang exactly the same. She is also overly dramatic. I cant disagree with the people who were voted off. Chris Rene has a very strong following and so does Rachel Crow. I could see it being him and Rachel Crow as the final 2 simply bc of popularity

i finally caught the elimation

Canty whooped that ASS

firstly, as soon as drew's song came on i was extremely annoyed. I was annoyed because once again she went and made the exact same performance that got her in the bottom in the first place, slowing down and stripping an upbeat feel good song, singing in the same montonous key like she has the whole competition.

i felt sorry for her sitting on the bottom, but then i saw the performance of a person who didnt want to win and didnt want to be creative. Canty could have walked out there and clubbed a seal and still won. But, Canty didnt do that he sung his ass off, he wanted to win and he want to kill a fly (drews crap performance) with an axe. and he did, he showed his vocal ass out there and im damn proud that someone out there wanted to fight

One more thing that annoys me about these eliminations, the judges dont even bother to PRETEND to consider what they are supposed to, which is the elimination performance alone. Cowell voted to save drew and didnt even mention the performance on that given night, he literally said nothing more than "i think drew deserves another chance, america doesnt want canty". Horseshit. The other judges minimally considered the performance at best.

See, and I felt almost exactly the same way, but in the opposite direction. I got goosebumps listening to Drew's save me song, and when she was done, I thought to myself "There's literally nothing that Marcus can do to save himself now, she just went and knocked it out of the park" And I thought his song was decent at best.

And I do agree with you that the judges didn't take the performances into account. But only because I think Paula and Nicole decided that they could take Simon down a peg by voting her out, and that's what they did. I felt like their votes were 100% political and had nothing to do with the performances. The reason his speech had nothing to do with the performances is because he knew the girls were pissed at him was pleading with them to do the right thing instead of being spiteful to him. Unfortunately for Drew, they did the petty thing just to hurt Simon.

not the best week, but I think rachel is in trouble

josh redeemed himself with the second performance, he was the only significant improvement from the first song.

i personally dont think chris renes song was all that great, too repetitive. I think what it is is that people see a person playing an acoustic guitar after an hour and a half of over dramaticized performances and are comforted by it because, people like acoustics and simplicity. I dont think he has a good enough voice to just sing a whole song, he needs to continue to rap and smoothly incorporate singing into the lyrics.

all in all i just think this week was kinda blah because the contestants got screwed with the change in plans. I cant think of who a second bottom contestant would be, id guess marcus solely because people just dont seem to like that ol school Jodeci sound

i mean why is he on the bottom every week? its ridiculous he shouldnt be there.

i saw the episode, i felt so bad for rachel i love that girl....also makes me realize that 13 and 14 is much too young for competitions of such gravity, the talent is there but these kids are not robots they are children (at least we hope that at the home they are allowed to be children) children are emotional and naive, they dont have the understanding. i dont think they have any business signing contracts an the like, personally, people like LA reid fuck over grown men ass over tea kettle and toss them in the dirty gutter.

that being said they both performed great. I liked Canty's much better personally but that was a tough one, I dont blame Nicole for not choosing but it did seem overly dramatic, so muh so that I am almost 100% sure something was going on peronally that night with her that affected her emotions.

theres still too much personal investment to get fair judging, it wont happen with this current format. They need judges that dont have a hand or financial interest in the success of the artists, it wasnt as apparent when 80% of the acts sucked now that the last 7 or so contestants were pretty freakin good it becomes glaringly obvious that this is not the way to judge this thing.

Nicole absolutely needs to not be brought back for next season. She just surpassed Steve Jones as the worst thing about this show, and I didn't think that was possible. It's not about her voting for the wrong people, it's about her not doing her job. If you can't pick between the acts without breaking down into a hysterical fit, you don't deserve to be there. And then to not have a reason to actually vote someone off is unacceptable. It shouldn't come down to a "I love everybody, I can't vote" situation. That's what you are getting paid to do. Either do the job you are being paid for or let somebody else take the job.

I dont see what makes krajic great, Rene wasnt at his best, and melanie had a horrible first song chosen for her but she blew the second song away that was the best performance of the night and her greatest performance IMO
