Some people just lose all hope.
Once you reach a certain point, I don't think you even realize or care what you're putting in your body.

true. i definitely think there's a lot of deep-seeded psychological stuff going on at that point as well. whether its a food addiction, the loss of hope, thinking it's okay, etc.
i would consider "healthy pudge" as someone who is active but isn't a complete stick. they might have a fall roll when sitting down or leaning over but it doesn't necessarily mean they're fat by any means. a lot of it is also how the person carries their weight. i carry my weight around my mid-section so i feel like i always appear bigger than i might be because of this - and it's only exaggerated when i sit down. 8/4/2011 11:37:17 AM |

Very low calorie diets have been shown in some studies to be correlated with longer lifespan. Something about reducing free radicals, I think (or I might just be making that up).
