I liked Sakura Express personally, I ate there a lot as a freshman but probably just because it was easy walking distance. 8/9/2011 11:45:12 AM |

you dont ever have to go to a restaurant to find out it's bad. just assume it is and never go. if youre worried its bad in the first place, it certainly wont wow you, so youre not missing out on anything
also, sometimes you just want a bunch of pretty good chinese food. and i'd rather do that for cheap than for like 13.00 at pei wei or peace china 8/9/2011 11:46:11 AM |

That's the most retarded thing I've read in at least a week...
I've been to some places that look like they'd be great and suck a rancid donkey ball, and others that looked like hell and the food was great8/9/2011 11:47:53 AM |

You should write a book about your very important restaurant protocol and how people talking on the internet about shitty food gets in your crawl.8/9/2011 11:48:10 AM |

wtf is a crawl?
and exiled, some of us don't judge books by their covers. i read a menu, and if it sounds shitty, i never go. it's simple. (judging a book by the mini-books they have inside)

That still doesn't make any damn sense. I could read the menu for an Italian place, go, "Gee, this place sounds great and smells delicious!" then when my foods comes out I'm all because it tastes like ass.8/9/2011 11:54:56 AM |

Yep. Been in there twice for workday lunch, empty both times. Just a strange setup...and the tables along the walls have chairs that are way too large for the small tables. they have board games...but that doesn't help that much. Tried their grilled chicken breast sandwich last time. pretty boring, and not tasty. I do remember their wings being good, but overpriced.
Quote : | "i like amedeos.
i wish they weren't so expensive for what it is, and i wish they brought back the free peanuts... but overall, it's not nearly as bad as you people make it out to be... " |
What the hell do you order there that makes you like it so much? With the possible exception of their lasagna, everything else I've had their was really bad. just pasta + boring jar of red/white sauce bad. i'll try it again sometime soon, but that's my impression from 4-5 times eating there over the same number of years.

Used to love the habachi there...but either it's gone wayyyyy downhill, or i've just been exposed to better hibachi since college. went there a couple weeks ago and the hibachi was turrible. like didn't even finish the meat/veggies turrible.]8/9/2011 11:56:16 AM |

God YES. And it's not even all that cheap. You could get a better meal at the farmers' market restaurant for a lot less money. I dated a guy for awhile and every time we went to visit his family they wanted to eat at fucking Bob Evans. It was horrible. There's a reason his parents weighed 300+ pounds each.8/9/2011 12:16:22 PM |

I'm pretty sure most people just say it's the best pizza on Hillsborough street, which in and of itself isn't really building it up. No one will deny that Raleigh and Cary have far better places to offer.8/9/2011 1:04:35 PM |

+1!!! If my friends didn't frequent it like it was their home and poopface didn't host trivia there, I would never (or hardly ever) go to bada anymore. It was fun at first, but being the ONLY place they seem to want to drink at has worn me down.
However, I like the bartenders...atmosphere sucks. It's great I can now leave without reeking of smoke, but I still feel dirty when i leave.
Luckily I've had a solid excuse for almost a year now to not go (I'm half joking half serious on that statement).

Went to a Carolina Ale House after a wedding in Greenville, SC two weekends ago. It was much more of a bar and club than the Cary one. That said, I had one drink and left because it was just a bunch of white trash slammin Bud Light and terrible music that's too loud to allow anything resembling a conversation. What's the point? I can't dance to fucking 3 Doors Down (which is good only for torture) and all the pool tables are taken, all the time. 8/9/2011 1:35:07 PM |
