i think Newton will get better when he learns the WRs' speeds more, and i think Edwards was bumped a little and slowed him down from getting to that last throw

Gotta say Cam impressed me last night.

That draft pick has the potential to not be horrible now that they changed the rookie cap. $6 million for a starting QB is a decent deal even if he's at the lower end of starting QB's. $12-$15 per would have been a fucking disaster though.

He's going to make a lot of mistakes and his accuracy is a touch off but he made some good throws and he's way farther ahead on reading defenses than I thought he'd be given his limited practice time.

Outsiders projected him for 2900 yards, 14 TD, 16 INT with 575 rushing, 5 TD. If we get that kind of production out of Cam, the RB's combine for ~1,800 yards, 7-9 TD's, and our defense plays as well as it did last year we could easily win 6-7 games this year.

not commenting on either's credibility, but do Outsiders and ESPN usually vary so vastly with these projections

ESPN was the only source of a projection that I saw before seeing your post, but they only project 1700ish yds for Newton, so I'm wondering how these things are calculated

I think they were dead even on the TD/INT though

^^I think the projections are going to vary greatly simply because no one knows how many starts he will get.

Yeah I think outsiders had him starting like 14-15 games which I think is accurate if he's healthy.

Of course he didn't run its fucking preseason.

I doubt the rbs get more than 10 tds. Not enough opps and cam will steal a few goalline touches

i know at one point they had Newcastle in the 300 level, but it was in a clear 12 oz. shitty cup. if i pay that much for a beer, at least give me a cup to take home. i think i have about 75 at this point.
