"Second, the damn virus isn't even air-communicable. If it was everyone in contact with Caesar would have gotten the virus. The only way you can get it is inhaling the specially made gas (inhaling mind you, the others had exposed skin and eyes but didn't get it) or by direct blood transmission. So apparently people are bleeding all over each other constantly in airports now?"

Viruses mutate over time and based on the host they are trying to infect. Its plausible the virus could have mutated to become airborne and begin to spread that way.

"Took the time out" of what? Those of us who aren't complete retards can make obvious conclusions about things while they are happening. The only time I spent on that was the 2 minutes it took to type it out.

Considering the time I spend on TWW sifting through retarded posts by people like you to queers I'd say it wasn't the worst use of my time.

^^ Possible? I dont know, can you show me an example of a blood communicable virus becoming airborne before? Plausible? definitely not. Do we really have to worry about AIDS becoming an airborne virus any day now?

The dude from Reaper sneezed blood on the pilot which made it an airborne and hemorrhagic virus. All the pilot had to do was sneeze on someone else, etc., etc. There are a few real life examples...Ebola comes to mind.

Why yes, the entire human race will be brought down because everyone starts sneezing blood on each others faces

Got it

Glad to see others see how stupid this movie is

Haha...good point. It was on a tinier scale with Ebola but still scary as shit (The Hot Zone book is almost as scary as a car full of clowns...almost) I just thought it was plausible/logical, so I didn't walk out thinking the whole movie was ridiculous. Maybe a more realistic spin will be Contagion when it comes out- H1N1 is a bitch.

...also...this movie is ultimately about super intelligent talking monkeys, so I kind of put the rest aside

Is this movie racialism related? Apes may represent black people.

I liked the Mars mission setting up the movie as a prequel to the Charleton Heston movie. IIRC, that movie begins with the space ship crashing on a mystery planet eventually revealed to be Earth. So maybe the human colony on Mars survived, and that's where Charleton Heston and crew came from.

the broken Statue of Liberty wouldn't fit with the new virus story though

Actually the apes represent chinese people

The US created china by elevating a primatve stone age society by trading with them, now we are worried about them trying to destroy the world since they still have their agressive barbarian instincts.

I disagree.

I think the Apes represent Japanese whalers.

In the original they were traveling at the speed of light for years. Since they aged slower that's how they wound up in the future. As far as I know there was actually no colony created on Mars.

I was really impressed with the movie. The CGI was far better than just about anything out there, although not perfect. The evolution (for lack of a better term) of the main ape from docile animal to angry beast was portrayed very well.
