In regards to the cheering, I agree. Last night there were a bunch of freshman who I would be surprised if they ever had been to a soccer game before. I've tried to just do the "Let's Go Wolfpack" just a corners, but the new group started it during the game. I also tried to get "The Saints go Marching In" changed with Pack, but only a few caught on. I've been to several RailHawks games and am a member of TSF, but the difference there is everyone in that section knows about soccer and that's not the case for our student section right now. If anyone has suggestions, post them here or come talk to me at the game. I'm always behind the goal near the scoreboard. Sorry for the [words].

I always thought we should incorporate this in to any of our sports. Soccer and basketball would probably work best. Just substitute "Leeds" with "State", or alternate "Wolf" and "Pack".

I like the "The Saint go Marching In" chant idea. If I heard it last night, I would have jumped in. Even if everyone canted a slow nc state fight song while clapping above their heads. We don't need to re-create the wheel, just tweak it. Oh, and we need 2 marchng band volunteers that can bring 1 base drum and 1 snare drum.

(1)"we're not (ACC School mascot), we are the wolfpack" chant, to the tune of 'Glory Glory Man United':
Example:

I'm not sure if the bleachers behind the goal could handle the jumping part. It flexes as it is with a decent group of people on it.

...that sounds like a challenge. Students sections should be made to withstand jumping around. A structural failure at an engineering school will not go over well.

I plan on being at the game on Monday, so we'll see if the crowd is more willing.

Good wins last night. The women's goal was a gift, but we took advantage and held on to the lead. Women travel to PA for the Pitt Soccer Classic with Penn State up first on Friday. Men travel over to Durham for the annual Duke Adidas Classic playing #9 SMU on Friday and #8 UC Santa Barbara on Sunday.

According to High Point's live stats Kristina Argiroff scored 49 seconds into OT for a 1-0 State victory. Women return home Sunday vs North Florida and is now 6-1 on the season. Men play Saturday night at 7pm vs Richmond.

Men draw with Richmond 1-1 and move to 2-1-2 (W-L-T) on the season. Richmond scored a fluke goal in the 1st and then we tied it in the 2nd. Had some good chances in OT, but couldn't finish. Women are here to play North Florida tomorrow at 1pm.

The nickname everyone has for him is Flash, but I remember the Technician writing an article about him last year, but I don't remember his name. I think he actually wrote for the Technician in the 70's. He usually only goes to women's games (soccer, softball, tennis, gymnastics, volleyball), but he's been to a couple baseball games and was at the men's game tonight. He always rides a bike around campus and I'm pretty sure he doesn't have a car. He might be homeless, but I'm not sure. I know that he used to go to a lot of Broughton HS events, mainly female sports, and they banned him and thus banned him from all Wake County HS athletics. He creeps out most of our female athletes. He can be very vocal if something goes wrong especially at tennis and softball.

Women win 3-0 over North Florida. The highlight of the game was right after the 2nd goal was scored, the F-15 Eagles for the flyover for the 9-11 memorial service at the Belltower flew across Dail Soccer Field.
