Venus is below the moon. It's bright enough that you can see it while it's still light outside! Jupiter should be above-ish the moon when it gets dark enough to see.

I was out of the city for a couple of nights this week and was very surprised by how bright Jupiter and Venus are right now. A bright sky is one of the things I miss about living in the city.

Venus, Jupiter, and the moon (waxing crescent) are making a triangle right now... the 3 brightest objects in the night sky.

Just saw a huge greenish/blue shooting star go across the sky. Could have also been a UFO.

My dad just called me and said he saw it from a friend's place in Eastern Rockingham County.

Neat, it was pretty big and reflected off the clouds. I bet a lot of people saw it.

The last time I saw one like that was in like 05 when I lived at University Suites. It was bright enough I had a shadow from it for a second or so. Pretty cool to see, and kind of freaked me out a little at the time.

Lol I watched it go across the sky and then looked at Peter to validate. He saw it too so I know I'm not going crazy. I then we decided to go inside.

I like how some peoples' first reactions were to Google search 'what fell out of the sky'.

I posted a link to that site on my Facebook and Van Denton picked it up and shared it. Lots of people have since commented across the various shares. I wish I would have seen it!

^I like this one:

there is a huge ring around the moon tonight. commence with the weather superstitions. The moonlight is bright enough here to walk through the woods without a light, though some of my friends' coon dogs have run way too far tonight because it is so bright.
