Apparently I'm the only one that enjoyed The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo... I know the screenplay isn't overly original since there's also the original Swedish version out, but I thought it was a well put together film. I hope Mara Rooney gets it, her performance was perfect.

I haven't seen the Swedish version, but I liked Fincher's.

I love dark movies, and that one was good, I didn't really like how it ended, but I've heard all that ties in later.

I've seen both (and the rest of the Swedish trilogy) and they all tie into each other well (and the novel). Since Mara Rooney and Noomi Rapace are different people, their acting styles will differ as well as how they play their roles. They left me with a "fucked up, but amazing" kinda feeling after I watched the movies.

Good to see the guy who did makeup for The Exorcist and the special effects wiz behind 2001 and The Tree of Life won Oscars. The Tree of Life was what I was partial to. I watched it 3 times. It was like heaven to my retinas. I do think The Artist had the best music. Seems like every year I do not care about best actress (except maybe last year).
