I think all you can reasonably conclude that the only way to live is the way that

A)you think is best
B)affords everyone else the same right.

Not all of us can be happy with other people being happy doing something that wouldn't naturally make us happy.

Happiness, is first and foremost, a personal pursuit. That does not necessarily mean it is a selfish adventure, but it would be incorrect to say that it does not begin with you.
