My sister says:

Quote :
"The fact that people I don't even know can "like" and comment on my photos is really annoying..."

Thinking it was an inconsequential privacy setting, I checked into mine...but can't see anything about these posting rules anymore. Not to mention they've revamped their privacy settings again.

Good job, Facebook.

To test this for yourself, look at the Facebook in a Facebook in the upper right. Surely, someone will have commented or liked a picture of someone you don't know at all. Click that news item. You can now navigate that photo album and comment on any picture in there, including photos that your friend has nothing to do with.

Actually this goes for any picture in the news feed, evidently

Well in any case, it must be such an obscure setting that I can't find it, nor can the majority of my friends/people who my friends are friends with can figure out.

Yeah, just saw an example of a locked up picture. Its "shared" setting (gear symbol next to photo info) was "Friends of Friends"

Other cases, the picture is set to "Public".

I remember that setting from previous Facebook iterations, but from scrounging around in my own settings I can't find that anymore. Seems like you have to fix that to any picture you put up now.

every.single.song shows up in the minifeed as people listen (and they didn't opt out) :-/

If you go to the Spotify app page, then click "Block App" it solves that problem.

upon further review I like the new layout, especially now that they added a button to skip to recent stories so that people could see it's still there, it just has you read stuff you missed since you were last online first. if you refresh the page you'll see recent stories start popping up at the top

i just want the mini-feed part disabled though, not the whole thing. i like seeing/being notified when someone makes a playlist, but not when someone is blazing through their blink 182 collection
