This is pretty much what I expected since the Spanish clubs are by far the most popular. The good news is now playing against someone with Barca doesn't mean they run circles around you with Messi and Villa. They are containable and you can force them to take bad shots if you keep your defense in form.

I finally started using skill moves. I never really attempted to learn them because they are frustrating to practice since the 1-on-1 mode is in a different view than a regular game and thus the controls are slightly different. The only one I find useful in the game is the directional Ronaldo chop, but scoop turns are nice, too.

Yeah, but even then, it's pretty time consuming trying to test all the moves against an opponent.

I ended up messing around with some games on Semi-Pro. Boosted my Virtual Player, too.

Also you should be able to see what team you are playing before you're in a match and be able to pick the jersey at that point. I generally like to play with mediocre teams, I think its more challenging but playing a 3 and a half star team that only has one good striker has no business being forced to play barca. I understand why you pick your team before searching for an opponent but I don't understand why you don't have any indication before kickoff

w/ the new relegation system i take it that it's solely by wins and losses (i haven't played a ranked match yet)?

if so, there's not much reason to have so many 3-4 star teams in the game. they should make more good teams, even if it's unrealistic.

also it's pretty annoying that you can't adjust strategy online, since every top team in the game plays the same way.

what menu are you guys going to where it uses a relegation system and makes you pick your team first for online play?

I like playing with mediocre teams in most games but in soccer, i don't want to play with teams I don't know about so I either play with the sounders, a good european team with stars i know or a relevant international team.

Chelsea is my favorite euro team. (blue devil)
I play with the us unless the other person gets spain brazil or somebody then i go get argentina.

I won't put the sounders against a euro team often. In 11, I used to play sounders vs barca and I could beat people that weren't good.

I thought when you played head to head season it matched you up vs similar "star" teams. So if you play with a 3* MLS teams then you'll play another 3*, is that now how it works? The few times I've played with Rangers, I have been matched with similar ranked teams.

I really hate playing against Real Madrid, Barca, or Spain. I feel like the people who play with those teams generally aren't really good at the game, but they can win because of the speed and talent up top.

Yeah, the choosing uniform color before you play is stupid. I usually play with Spurs in the black unis, but I've been matched up with City a few times when they are wearing the dark blues. That shit is unbearable! I've started to play in the whites, since it seems like nobody else wants to play in white. I'm one point away from division 8 with 3 games to go.

If we start a league (Xbox), I want Spurs. E Man, you setting this up or what?
