Eating fast food is not cheaper than eating healthy. Check, oh I don't know, every study that's ever been done about the topic.

I don't think women in underwear is appropriate for this thread.

"I think most of the ones that people think are hot are just in shape. I just don't see a widespread culture of physical unobtainium in the bodies of our celebrities. I see a bunch of fat slobs walking down the street, in the mall, and most of all, in the grocery store, and I think that we've gotten so used to it that it's remarkable when someone is actually in good shape."

America is obsessed with images. We need to change our focus from looks to health. Not everyone who is in good shape looks like a Reetone ad. For example, take Lynne Cox, a long distance swimmer. She is an amazing athlete - an English Channel record holder and first person to swim the entire Strait of Magellan. I bet TWW would say she's an out of shape fattie though

Obviously she's not a typical example. My point is that most American women are comparing themselves to a fictional standard of health. Of course America needs to shape up, but we don't have to look like this to be "in shape"

No, of course not, but let's not demonize that standard.

i think it would be beneficial to actively de-emphasize it though

[Edited on November 27, 2011 at 11:36 PM. Reason : not like it's gonna happen though. magazines/tv/movies don't attract eyeball money with normals]
