Seriously, does anybody know Vandenburg's status? He's only played in 2 of the last 9 games, one for one minute, and 10 minutes against Syracuse, hasn't played in the last four games. Is he injured? He's not even getting in with the walk-ons.

His status is that he is a liability with the ball. With CJW, Howell and CJL picking up rebounds, he serves no purpose on the team.

I still don't understand why he's not getting even getting minutes with the walk-ons in the blow-outs. And why he got 10 mins against Syracuse. (and he actually had some decent minutes last season during conference play. remember that?)

Him not being on the court probably has nothing due to your take, and lots to do with his injury or potential redshirt.

Somebody mentioned that on here when i asked the other day, but is that possible? He's played in seven games this season, as recently as our Dec 17th game against Syracuse.

He's not strong enough/athletic enough to make a big interior presence. Add in the fact that he can't dribble and lacks basketball IQ and there's your explanation of why he rides the pine.

And I don't just hate him for the sake of it. I've met him in person. He seemed like a polite, but shy person. He will never be a fraction of a Zeller, though.

^^no, that really doesn't explain it. Kendall Smith and Jay Lewis are getting getting minutes and Vandenburg ain't. And he got 10 mins against #1 Syracuse. So your explanation doesn't exactly explain why he's been riding the pine against the cupcakes. Seems like Gottfried would want him to get some experience. And again, he actually had some good minutes against ACC teams last year. Go back and look.
