to be fair there has only been 1 headliner i've wanted to see each of the 3 years i've been, so this isn't really out of line with that. and the undercard is pretty indie-heavy with a lot of really good bands. i'd probably have a great time if i went.

^^ wouldn't hold my breath. doubt you'll ever see them again at that festival in any capacity other than a preheadliner, and there are already a couple acts that fit that bill. i suppose they could always do late night again, but they'll never top late night 2008, and i'd hate to have to miss everything else going on at the same time.

so i just found out the thing at work that was stopping me from going to bonnaroo is no longer stopping me from going. problem is i just dropped $200 on tickets to outside lands and have to spend a couple hundred on plane tickets from california to north carolina this summer. not sure how wise it'd be to spend $300 on a bonnaroo ticket plus all the other associated costs. logistically it may suck too although several of my neighbors are going. i know i'd hate myself that saturday night when i'd have to watch radiohead on youtube instead of in front of the what stage. ugh this sucks.

the lollapalooza lineup is out. looks pretty stacked other than the headliners. i have major black keys fatigue, RHCP are terrible, and i couldn't care less about black sabbath, although i guess it could be cool to say you saw them once? the rest of it looks like the best of bonnaroo and coachella. hoping this will result in some quality adds to the bonnaroo lineup in the next couple days/weeks, but i doubt it's terribly likely.

there's still 15-20 fewer big stage acts on the lineup right now compared to 2011's final lineup, so it would stand to reason there's more coming aside from the cafe addition. or maybe it's just a smaller lineup this year.

just left. it was amazing. the weather was awesome by bonnaroo standards, radiohead played for 2 hours 20 min and dedicated "supercollider" to jack white and hinted at a collaboration or something, d'angelo showed up at super jam for his first US show in like a decade, late night was incredible, more shade, more shitters cleaned more often, more water, a salsa dancing golden retriever. it was just fucking amazing. so glad I went
