What am I paying for? I have no idea how comprehensive her reviews are. Is there a trial? I've just always thought it was stupid, on the heels of Craigslist, to call your site Angies List but charge for it. That shit doesn't register at all on the "motivate me to visit your site" meter.
I've never heard ANYONE say they found such and such or so and so on Angies list. Not a fucking person until this thread actually.

The whole point of Angie's List is you can't have a business making a bunch of fake accounts and spamming the site with positive reviews. I mean, I guess theoretically they could but if the business is wasting their money that way I doubt they'd stay in business long. And I'm sure Angie's List has algorithms built in to flag suspicious accounts.
Anyway, it's not just one person writing reviews. It's people who have used the business writing reviews. It has been great when weeding through professional businesses and deciding which one to use. When I'm getting ready to drop a big chunk of change on something, I always consult Angie's List first. It seems to be best for things like doctors, real estate agents, contractors, plumbers, electricians, etc. 2/4/2012 2:34:59 PM |

^^No there is no free trial, but you do get another 20% off membership just for using paypal.
Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean it's a waste of money or a bad service. Just based on the incredibly ignorant "on the heels of Craigslist" remark, it's apparent you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
Why not spend 10 damn minutes reading instead of making yourself look stupid and cheap? 2/4/2012 5:05:22 PM |
