I am going to buy black ops 1 and i'm going to prestige in it once

And i'm going to re prestige COD4, W@W (level45 right now), and MW2 (level 43) since i couldn't' transfer them from my old locked gamertag.

and then i will probably buy black ops 2 whether it sucks or not. and i may play through the campaign if i can bear it. but multiplayer won't suck so i'll play that reguardless

I will admit going to futuristic route with kill streaks is going to be extremely hard to balance. If you watch all the extra videos attached to the launch trailer you get a feeling that they're are there with the sole purpose of hinting at streaks. You could get a hint of

Invisibility cloak
Enemy with a friendly skin change
Quad coptor
Robot (juggernaut) suit
Control of a ground cannon
Hacking an enemy kill streak to help your team instead

I could go back and get more predictions but I just don't feel like it.

I will say... i'm getting sick of putting 3-4 mk14 rounds in people and i die because of some screwy lag even though i never saw a shot fired from them.

That's my only gripe.. but you know... i play well.. i kill more than i die now so i can't get too upset.

^^^^^ exactly why i stopped COD at black ops. Casual players that go 1-1 dont often notice or care about lag, because if anything they benefit from the skill equalizing effect it has. When im 1 away from a nuke and a guy i shot 3 times gets a lag kill, i notice. I cant really have fun unless im playing competitively, and i cant consider COD competitive when such a fundamental flaw is swept under the rug. Not to mention black ops has more aim assist than any cod ever. This robot cowboy shit is the icing on the cake though... I cannot believe this is the same studio that made COD3 and WaW.

This franchise has gotten worse every year since MW2. That's when I stopped buying (roommate bought black ops ) and I don't plan on buying anymore of these.

I would have been happy with more of the same. One of my favorite parts of the game is the realistic weapons and customizing them. Don't really care about that if it is all made up futuristic stuff.

Does MW3 have any cool shit the further along you get in the Campaign mode? I didn't get more than a few missions through, but Black Ops had that cool mission where you scale the cliff and after you steal some intel, you run off and ride snowmobiles to safety, maybe the single player will be cool

MW3 did indeed have some "cool ass scenes" in it.


The pacing in MW3 is the fastest of all the recent CODs. It'd only take like 3-4 hours to see it all, but some of it is satisfying.

I thought MW3's campaign was a decent mix of action and story. I wish it would have stuck with the MW2 Rangers, but after Infinity Ward offed itself I guess it could have been worse.

Black Ops was just nonstop scripted action with a crazy plot, but I guess that is what people want for a campaign playthrough.

I've been looking for a shooter to switch to after COD4 and W@W got hacked.

Crysis 2 and BF3 are very good on PC but the xbox can't handle them.

Might give MOH/Ghost Recon a try.
