I actually have no problem with it in Le Mans. My biggest problem with it was when it was being proposed for IndyCar. That slow ass thing has no business being in IndyCar. It's an interesting concept, but I feel it is too unsafe and would do poorly on ovals and mediocre on road courses compared to the old Dallara IR07. 6/16/2012 10:57:22 PM |

yeah, i'd rather not see Indycars take that form, but I wish MORE teams would do oddball stuff like that to try to exploit gaps (or even provisions) in the rulebook with their Le Mans prototypes. It's not supposed to be a spec race. 6/16/2012 11:42:18 PM |

also, why isn't the crew working on it? looks like they gave the driver a leatherman and a long handled screw driver. lol

^^ They didn't find a loophole, though. They pretty much had to beg for an exemption...but I get what you're saying. It wouldn't hurt if more manufacturers would get back in the game, too.
^ against the rules for the crew to go out there and I can't remember why they couldn't haul it to the garage

The Toyota challenge was promising early but failed due to an idiot driving a bystanding Ferrari and an idiot driver in Nakajima. That led to the expected Audi 1-2-3, Audi getting able to declare they were the first-ever manufacturer to win Le Mans with a hybrid (which is probably what Toyota were really shooting for when deciding to get back into sportscars, Peugeot pulling out this year probably cost them that as it let Audi focus on its hybrid powerplant a year early), and Lola gets a 4th place overall finish just after the company declared bankruptcy.
Team I once volunteered for Norma raced in LMP2 and finished 29th.
Not a good race for Corvette Racing.
