Igorski and myself have pandered to you more than enough - this may be your thread, but it's not your section, and you've not earned your stripes as a gayrager. Either get serious or get gone 3/28/2012 12:07:48 PM |

Teaming up is just fine, you don't intimidate me.
The fact is, you haven't answered my question. You sidestepped the question. If you don't know, just say you dont know. Don't call me a idiot and a retard for asking a question YOU don't know the answer to. 3/28/2012 12:18:54 PM |

They do know, they just don't want to spend the energy explaining it to you, and I don't blame them. 3/28/2012 12:45:04 PM |

Here's how I feel about it:
Quote : | "you have to look at this in regards to what your goal is for this wheel
is it a rock crawler?
is it a time-attack / track rat?
is it street driven on pothole laiden roads?
what's good for one may or may not be the best for the others
if you don't answer these questions and just take offense or dance around it, it looks like trolling" |
if all you want is basic numbers (useless in any kind of real-world scenario), here:
minimum yield strength:
cast Aluminum A356-T61: 227 MPa
aluminum 6061-T6 (common for forging): 241 MPa
magnesium alloy ZK60A-T6: 305 MPa tens, 250 MPa comp
1018 Steel: 370 MPa
as you can see, steel is the "strongest" on this list based on this single physical property. But a steel wheel is certainly not the best choice for every application, due to weight, corrosion resistance, etc. So we're back to the quote above.
BTW, i got these numbers from a few quick google searches. The information you want is out there; It's not like people keep these numbers a secret3/28/2012 12:49:18 PM |

^That is an informative post.
Also, it's about communication, not intimidation.

Not only is it an informative post, Dr. Pepper, it is the correct answer. Learn from it.
Thank you, jtw208.
I googled the information when I realized nobody was going to help me DAYS ago. 3/29/2012 12:13:07 AM |

what do I need to learn? that you're simply a troll and provide a minimal contribution to this forum?
Anyone can google something and then post it, there's nothing to learn from that. While there may have been some confusion as to what answer you wanted originally, it is apparrent that you would rather be argumentative than clarify and let it go. The fact that you 'googled it days ago' only signals your continued desire to remain not cool, man. not cooool. 3/29/2012 9:33:31 AM |

I think you should invest in rims known as "one chop" (YouTube it).
They have superior aerodynamic qualities. 3/29/2012 6:47:03 PM |
