There is no direct correlation. But you have been in this thread whining NOT ONLY about why people like the team or Hamilton, but in general just bashing the guy for all the horrible, terrible things he's done. On the other hand, I don't see anywhere in the past where you have expressed any disappointment in the dipshit that the Rays signed.

Now, if your ONLY argument is that people shouldn't like a team because of one guy, then go ahead and keep that up. But the second you start talking about all the things that are wrong with the guy, then you open your argument up to any and all players to which you should also be criticizing. In fact, I would even go so far as to say that if you are going to spend all this energy on complaining about someone for being a past drug addict and accidentally causing a death while trying to be nice, then one would think that since you are so high and mighty you might take it a step further and seriously call out a team that knowingly traded for a guy who raped someone. Or would you argue that what Josh Hamilton's done in the past is worse than tag-team sodomizing a girl while shes puking in a toilet?

But I digress. If your SOLE argument is that people shouldn't like the Rangers simply because of 1 player, than you win. But you should probably just stick to that ONE argument.

Yeah that is pretty much false. Matt Kemp made a run at it just last year and is off to the races again this year. Plus with the NL losing sluggers like Prince, Pujols and Ryan Howard, it makes it much easier for Kemp to pull off the Triple Crown. Certainly his chances are better than Hamilton's.

Also Pujols and Cabrera could be considered greater Triple Crown threats than Hamilton (obviously Pujols has no shot this year thanks to his awful start).
