I don't understand how Hagelin's elbow gets him 3 games, while Carkner (a repeat offender) gets 1 for repeatedly punching a defenseless player. And on top of that, none for Weber.

I guess Shanny is going based on injury or no injury. That's a dangerous precedent right now. The interesting thing will be what's done with the Flyers/Penguins series. I hope Neal gets suspended for that shot on Sean Couturier and Asham for pretty much ever as that has no business in the game at all.

yea that's what i was thinking too, and its a dumb way to look at it, in my opinion. Intent to injure, which is what Weber, Asham, and Carkner were doing (i didn't see neal's hit) is just as bad as actually injuring someone, and in all those cases, it was obvious.

It's a game composed almost totally of players who couldn't make the playoffs. Skip it.

Also, Backstrom's suspension is just the mandatory match penalty suspension, no surprise there.
