Don't know about 06 vs 07, but the MDX dominated it in this 07 shootout... http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/bmw-x5-vs-acura-mdx-cadillac-srx-m-b-ml350-lexus-gx470-volvo-xc90-vw-touareg-land-rover-lr3-comparison-tests6/11/2012 12:16:50 PM |

car and driver tests mean very little at 100k miles.
for example the audi a6 allroad was a fantastic car in tests but at 100k miles when the (rear air springs) airbags, pumps etc are shot and the mafs (yes 2) have been replaced multiple times... and the turbos need to be replaced, one begins to question their decision.

my wife has had her 2004 mdx for a little over 3 years now and has had 0 problems with it. it had around 65k when she bought it and is up to around 90k. it's really comfortable with a lot of space but the fuel efficiency is pretty meh. 6/11/2012 1:07:59 PM |

i think ill just go with the tahoe. i saw a lot of negative about both of those cars. At least with the tahoe a major problem is less to fix. 6/11/2012 6:38:46 PM |

tahoes with the active fuel management are known for burning oil after 60k miles or so....buddy had one that would go through a quart every 750-1000 miles.... 6/11/2012 11:54:53 PM |

^ cough cough 06 audi a6 avant w/ 68k that was posted on the previous page! For the $18.5 Im asking, i dont see how in the hell you would pay up for a tahoe with similar mileage assuming the a6 has sufficient cargo space.
Should you ever pass through cincinnati, hit me up! 6/12/2012 12:17:46 AM |

While I agree it's not a gauge of long term reliability; the performance, handling, comfort, etc. is still very relevant.6/12/2012 9:23:06 AM |
