Just seeing if I skimmed this dude's complaint correctly. So the guy goes into this place after being hassled by the bouncer... then just kinda stands around, one friend goes outside to get fresh air (? kinda weird - maybe he just means she went to smoke?), and another goes the bathroom. He is then asked to leave for not buying a drink.

Why did they go in there? Seems like a story of "bathroom for patrons only"

I don't want this to come off as racist but this is definitely a sensitive subject for bar owners and everyone can see the dilemma.

IN GENERAL black people do not drink as much as white people and do not spend as much money as patrons at bars. On top of that IN GENERAL white guys want to go to bars that have a lot of white girls in them. IN GENERAL white guys do not like to dance but white girls do. IN GENERAL black guys are much less worried to talk to white girls on the dance floor. Sometimes this is completely acceptable and appropriate, but some of the guys will grab, make inappropriate remarks, and just generally creep the girls out.

If the white girls stop coming, so do the white guys buying the drinks. This has happened to every club that has ever opened in raleigh. While it is deplorable to think a completely normal, well mannered black person would be denied entrance to an establishment , these are not businesses being run by noble gentlemen, they are being run with the intention of turning a profit . And they have every right to deny entrance to anyone they don't want as a patron. Likewise, those patrons have every right to voice their displeasure thru social media, internet, and local news.

Where the line should obviously be drawn in the sand is this guy basically being assaulted for not buying a drink. Ive witnessed or been a part of numerous acts of violence by bouncers that were either unprovoked, unwarranted, or way over the top based on the merits of the situation. This is just typical of Shitty bars and nightclubs all over the country. The fact that raleigh cops seem to be complicit in the protect the bar and let the patrons eat shit is disgusting though. Hopefully that bar goes down from all this negative publicity if the stories being told are true.

I chalk it up to some restaurants are built on Indian burial grounds and are inherently cursed to be shitty regardless of what restaurant opens in that location.

^^That speaks more to perception and success rather than the notion that a place sucks (the one overlap would be atmosphere in regards to the number of and type of patrons). In a place such as Raleigh, with many short-term residents (students), your thought doesn't hold much water, because the population is being replaced, thus many people don't know the history.
